Multi boxing is fine eh?

Blizzard is strict on automation programs. They’ve been ok with multiboxing for years, they’re not stupid.

Multiboxer’s are fine. People keep acting like its an effortless I-Win button of sorts but that isn’t the case at all. It takes a lot of coordination to multibox well. Any person with multiple WoW accounts and a computer that can handle multiple simultaneous clients can do it but there is a skill to actually multiboxing well.

As someone who Multiboxxed Locks for a VERY short time in Cata (IIRC) I got so frustrated with the process that I never made it past Outlands. Things is that people don’t actually see, or even attempt to see what goes on from the Multiboxer’s side of things and how involved everything is.

Yes, they use software to help but even then it takes its own skill set and isn’t as mindless as people like to paint it as. Not to mention you are also gearing for 5 instead of 1, etc.

Now, with that said do I think they have far too big an impact on the market? Yes, 100% agree there. Multiboxer’s do have a pretty clearcut advantage when it comes to farming and I really think Blizzard should do something about that. However, past that, they are not a problem if you know how to deal with them.

Yes, Blizzard has said they will action players who abuse the reporting mechanic. Whether they are actually doing it, I dunno, I haven’t been actioned for it but I don’t abuse it.

When SL hits I imagine the forum will be much more heavily moderated since there will be more of us using it. I can’t wait.

Who knows if there are but this thread is technically spam. They could have posted in an already existing thread.

what species is playing?

How much and how so?

Its not against the ToS but it is DEGENERATIVE GAMPLAY.

Just waiting for blizzard to accept it.

So is playing a mage on Classic but there you are. :stuck_out_tongue:

I just did it for the gold baby.

Listen I know its gotta suck to be camped by a Mboxer but I pay 75 dollars a month and I have bought the epic editions for each of them that cost me 400 dollars, what I consider fun may not be fun for someone else but truly it is rare to see the people who go beyond that and have 25 accounts which makes me jealous LOL but Wow for some people is a hobby and with that hobby you will see people willing to go all out.

Yikes I only got 5 heroics, and only because it was cheaper to get the BFA+Heroic SL bundle than to get BFA and then buy base SL

If you been wiped in BG you would know how bad they are.You don’t even know at the beginning they’re there.Another thing alliance and horde now have the ability to communicate through media so it’s pointless to even play.

Oh forgot, just like in raids there is a possibility of being rigged on the market as these multiboxer have the ability to farm constantly for stores that make the pricing on the market to their advantage.

Nothing needs to be fact. It’s an opinion. That’s what opinions are. It is in my opinion that the items listed take away from my experience in the game.

Do you not understand how opinions work? You can disagree with them, but there doesn’t need to be anything factual about it. It’s what I feel.

You going to tell me what I’m feeling isn’t factual and therefore doesn’t matter?

lol. you would.

Fortunately, it does work that way. If enough players are vocal about it, change will happen. Can’t happen any sooner to be honest.

That’s an opinion which many of us disagree with.

Wrong. That’s a fact. Blizzards stance on it makes it a fact.

Well I would argue that your enjoyment is coming at the expense of others. Honestly if you want to multibox and go PvE things I really don’t care (even though it does affect the economy), but if you’re going around in WM globaling people who have zero chance of being able to fight back then that’s where the issue lies for me.

How much so? There is no way I could ever give substantial, legitimate, statistics on the matter but to generalize I would assume 5-10x more.

Keeping in mind that multi-tap herb/ore nodes are not unlimited and have a tap limit before de-spawning before the 30 10 second window ends, its entirely possible for Multiboxxers to completely tap nodes and leave nothing for other players trying to get the same node.

There have been entire threads on this point. Not to mention that because each character can harvest the node and each character can see the exact same node means that every node is basically that much more valuable.

Then again, because I have no actual numbers to go off of that mentality on my part could be blown much further out of proportion and on reflection perhaps my main gripe is not simply with multiboxers but multiboxxing bot’s that just do nothing but farm.

Fair enough, everyone here has the right to voice that opinion. My personal opinion, they are fine and have been fine for the last 15, going on 16 now, years. Don’t take my comment as trying to shut down anyone’s opinion but merely stating my own

Time to grab that bingo board again and get out those shot glasses, people must really love playing this drinking game. It get’s played at least two or three times a day. Remember, every time you fill a square take that shot.

I have to believe that Blizzard can see the effects of multiboxers on the economy and don’t see it as a problem. A site like https://theunderminejournal.com has to query Blizzard servers for the information that it is presenting so surely Blizzard has access to the same and more information.

No.

I don’t think it’s fine. That’s how this works Yesuna. Just because it’s allowed doesn’t make it fine. There have been lots of things that have been allowed in the game and have later changed. Just because it’s allowed and in the game doesn’t make it fine.

Allowed? Sure. Fine. Nope.

I would say flippers have a bigger impact on the market, but neither of us has any stats so I guess it doesn’t matter. I don’t think they have a huge impact on the market either way.
