Hey Blizz;
I understand multi boxing in itself is not against TOS which is fine.
Just a question regarding multi box gathering however… Just saw a 5 man multi boxer all in herb mounts running around… all 5 mounts are gathering.
Wouldn’t that be economy manipulation? if not, that’s fine. Just curious the “stance” on this.
Nope, it’s no different than five separate players grouped up to farm. I do it all the time with my friends. We farm in packs for the guild and to make gold. Usually when multiboxing is involved, prices tend to drop to a more reasonable value of goods.

Fair.
I suppose the difference would be a group of people are doing that as opposed to a single person.
But I understand your example.
People get hung up about who’s controlling the characters, which is irrelevant, five toons is five toons.
Actually from my experience, multiboxers are at a disadvantage when it comes to certain things and can be easily disrupted, especially with warmode on. One well placed fear bomb will disrupt the group, and it will take some effort for the boxer to get thing back in order. As for PvE farming, that is the nature of the beast.
I find it entertaining to sap one and it breaks the boxers routine, it takes perfect timing and you have to wait til they get close to the ground.
This is always fun to use:

While the accounts are all registered to the same user they are mostly treated as individuals by our systems. It wouldn’t be seen as any kind of economy exploitation.

“Economic exploitation” is Blizzard’s term for “crossing the streams” between gold/in-game items and real life money.
