I have a similair mindset but after Legion I’ve always known we’re going to head down to that road ever since Legion.
Your voice does matter though but I also want to contest your opinion with just how awful things are on alliance.

If Bobby K. thinks it’ll bring more money in. Then Big Bobby will have it implemented. WoW is about the monies now. Just has to come across his desk that it’ll bring the boys back to the game and he can buy that 25th yacht.
The problem is, those locations and those quests are in the past. People focus on the current because there hasn’t been a lot of progression for the races.
When was the last time The Barrens or Mulgore or Stonetalon or Desolace have updated Tauren lore? What about the Echo Isles, or Durotar, or anywhere? The Draenei zone is stuck in perpetual Crystal corruption, the Gilneans have never retaken their city, the Gnomes haven’t cleaned out Gnomergan, etc. etc.
Now granted, Shadowlands is a big issue where no one is really getting any story updates, and probably why the narrative frustrates me so much. But even BfA hardly updated anything that wasn’t Sylvanas or Anduin.
If Blizzard were to actually show the worlds and zones and narratives of the races to update, I wouldn’t be so grumpy about it. But as it stands, the factions could be Orc and Human only and there wouldn’t be too much difference.
I digress, hah. My opinion definitely gets me flack.
So trolling and not reading everything else.i said. Mkay.
But still part of their identity and culture. That hasn’t changed.
Watching a Human quest through Eversong Woods and hop around Silvermoon is insane to me.
Seeing a Human and Belf group up to take out a major threat against our world to temporarily out aside differences is another thing entirely and makes more sense to me.
You’re not wrong though. I really hope 10.0 is a more back to basics expansion that looks at each race in the factions and develops new stories for them. Sure, we can have a big bad we’ll all unite to try and stop, but it’d be nice if we could get an update on how everyone is doing post BfA and SL. Personally I’m hoping for an invitation to Lady Liadrin’s and Silgryn’s wedding lol.
I don’t think I’ve wanted something in this game as badly as this. An updated Azeroth and just…bringing the world into the present. We have the Caverns of Time; that can be how we experience the past.
I recognize it would be a gigantic undertaking, but man would I love that…
I just want them to do what Rift did when they “ended” factions. Defiant/Guardians still existed, but for all gameplay purposes outside of quests (and on PvP servers), you could do literally everything with the other faction. Guilds, open world groups for rift/invasion hunting, dungeons and raids, instant adventures, etc etc.
Dear Mr Hazzikostas
Having faction/race/class distinctions adds complexity, variety and flavor to the game. Please not only keep the ones we have but add back in the ones that were removed to pander to the spoilt and entitled.
Thank you for your time, Silverleigh
i’ve mained alliance for a long time and recently full sent to horde. I’m 100% behind cross faction grouping. But i also like alliance/horde identity. That being said I don’t think cross faction grouping will remove faction identity. When 2 alliance joins a group full of hordes they will have a stronger feeling of representing alliance either mog or racial abilities.
They could also build up on warmode where warmode on/off as a toggle to be able to group cross faction.
I tihnk that you miss understand what people says.
The mayority of people just want to being able to group with another factions, all the story up to that point, can stay.
No one will remove or allow orc to enter to SW, or Humans orgrimmar, but if they are doing a quest o want to do a dungeon, they can invite each other.
that’s it.
The other option is to beign able to choose in game a third faction, that allows cooperative play between factions, kinda like the Argen crusade, earthern ring or Cenarion Circle. could allow this just by completing a few quest that unlocks the funtion of beign able to group up with other faction.
This is pretty much what I want when I say to remove the faction barrier, leave Horde and Alliance, but allow us to group and guild regardless of faction.
many people here dosen’t undertand that concept and thinks that everything will be tear down.
You said no, then gave “because I said so” reasons.
Your “reasons” don’t matter. Sorry.
Why so angry, Rhielle? Are you able to talk with others on this forum with a shred of basic decency?
Are you Yesuna on an alt? Because you sound just like them with the passive agressive insults…
No. I don’t want to have anything to do with the Alliance. I don’t want to be friends with them or do stuff with them. I joined the Horde for a reason.
It amuses me that people think ending the factional war would conglomerate them into one megafaction.
The Alliance and Horde only exist because of the other, they are not 100% unbreakable entities.
If the war ends, they don’t all turn into the Azerothian Empire, they go back to being Orgrimmar, Stormwind, Kul’Tiras, Gil…nevermind, et cetera
The problem I have is there is no separation of factions anymore. In Vanilla/Classic the factions had their own cities, could quest in their own zones… etc. That is all gone now. We share cities, quest in the same zones, kill the same mobs, do the same quests and to me that has killed the Alliance vs Horde. The Devs need to decide one way or another if we are allies or enemies…period.
no its lore core
They could just make it where the factions are enemies but the heroes on the enemy faction are tolerated because they keep saving both factions all the time… This would keep the faction war going but also allow PvE content by more free and open ended as the heroes are being tolerated by the enemy faction due to their usefulness at saving the world.
I can not agree. We are either all in one way or the other. Either enemies or allies. No inbetween. If we are allies in this fight why can’t you also get credit for killing a normal mob when the other faction hits it first?
No thanks. Mixing together is a disaster and then the posts here crying for it to be removed will be quite humorous just that many more people to complain about how horde sucks or alli sucks get rid of this garbage.
