how big do you guys think having strafe binds are? I’m thinking about making them, I’ve only ever moved with my mouse and I guess I’ve had success with it (2.9xp) but wondering how much this would help.

Honestly stick with what you have. It’s much better practice in arenas. I’ve been using strafe binds ever since I started in bc and now it’s nearly impossible to wean myself off movements keybinds, which is an inhibitor in arenas if you want to go glad.
i move with Q W E strafe/forward/strafe + mouse
idk it plays good for me, just test it and see if you like it

by only move with your mouse do you mean only holding both mouse buttons down?
If you only move with your mouse, how do you run in a direction while facing your targeting to cast abilities?
My understanding is holding both mouse buttons to move is temporary and not the main way to move around in pvp.
so I hold both mouse buttons down and jump if that makes sense

more importantly, what do you biggun healers use to target party members? F1-F3 feels pretty garb… and I have massive hands.
Plenty of people play like you do I think OP. (Without strafe buttons and just moving with mouse.)
you do free up a lot of keybindings, I don’t think it’s actually the worst.
but if you’re going to be anal and say which is better, I think having WASD or QWES or ESDF or whatever movement keys you want + mouse is best, simply because more control than less. (As in you have options, however miniscule they are.)
I don’t think it’s worth rebinding / relearning how to control your character comfortably over. Comfort is key. So long as your bindings aren’t hindering you in any way. Like having bad mapping or something, no reason to change.
OP I used to move like you when I first started playing in Cata, it actually works out pretty well. However, adding strafe binds + mouse movement is a game changer.
I strafe with my thumb with X and C + mouse for everything else. Something to try out if you don’t want to give up keybinds.
I use only mouse for movements. I have strafe on mouse thumb. Left/right
Click to move are how the real alpha chads play
