I just ditched MoveAnything altogether and moved to a full UI mod (ElvUI in this case).

That addon has given me more problems than every single one of my other 100+ addons/plugins combined.

is there another addon like moveanything?

I haven’t used that addon before, but if you’re looking to use it for action bars and such to reposition/resize/customize them, I’ve been pretty happy with Dominos.

/moo :cow:

might of fixed it, i deleted the cache and wtf folder and it seems to work now, i been using moveanything sense it cameout first time its ever done this,

I’ve had that happen before with that addon. What worked for me, was going in and using the X Y positioning function on that particular part of the UI, whatever it might be. I’ve had it happen with the vehicle bar, and also stuff like XP and rep bars.

Caveat emptor, of course. My fix may not be your fix, for rando reasons.

MoveAnything hasn’t been updated for 9.1.5 yet. Keep that in mind.

You might be better off posing this question over on their Curse page. They might be working on it.

Anyone ever have a stutter in game because of moveanything?

They changed something recently in the UI. Now when a druid carries a passenger, the passenger nameplate becomes the mount and there is no way to access passenger info without dismounting. I have also noticed one vehicle quest that is completely broken and undoable. (not sure if it’s this issue) No doubt they changed something which has broken that addon.

honestly I would use elvui over moveanything. It’s more versitile and you can customize your UI freely to whatever you want.

I’m not having that issue with MoveAnything. Are you sure it’s not a problem with Bartender or Dominos?

my UI doesnt use bartender and dont use Dominos, deleting wtf and cache folder fixed it though

Maybe it was messed up MoveAnything settings. You could also have just deleted the moveanything.lua file for the same effect.

I just use MoveAnythingImproved with no issues.

I’ve had this problem ever since I got it and still do. I did a clean wipe of the addon quite a while ago when I forgot to copy over WTF/UI folders to my new PC, and still got the same exact issue.

Evilmuffin, I’m not entirely sure I understand your fix. When I get out of a vehicle, my actionbar gets screwed up. Are you saying somehow alter the vehicle action bar with XY and that should fix the main action bar from getting screwed, or something else? Will be willing to try if you could outline the steps, but thanks in any case.

MoveAnything causes more problems than its worth IMO. I moved to Dominos.

Can’t do that (since Dominos is just action bars afaik); I have an ultra-wide screen monitor (Odyssey G9) and WoW is simply unplayable if I don’t move the UI to largely be in a centralized 27" space. Then it becomes perfect because of the peripheral vision, and ability to swap between both configs. I heard ElvUI has like…security concerns if you download other people’s UI’s at least through it too. And that it takes a lot of time to get right.

I do wish it would get fixed

I have a 32 inch screen I play WoW on. I just move shiz where I need it to be with MoveAnything, tweak things as needed with Bartender, and it’s all gg when I nitpick things that way.

I use a combination of addons for moving UI elements,

  • moveanything (I use to hide some elements and pitbull unitframes for others)
  • blizzmove (I use primarily for moving stuff)
  • sexymap (allows me to move quest objectives without issue if I remember correctly).

I never liked the full ui addons and I’m not going to another site to download another addon manager for a single addon so I use multiple addons to do what I want.
