They already did in a sense.
The freebie token you get from 1600 has the elite appearance as it’s fully upgraded or something, so if you’re willing to do 1600 on 2 chars for both the helmet and shoulders this lets you wrap up the full set appearance without 1800.

I don’t recall last seasons gear appearance changing with upgrade quality like in sl, and the freebie piece is 9/9 upgraded which might be an oversight, but just an interesting little interaction.

Can anyone see gladiator data to see how many first time glads, that were not ret paladins, were able to defy the deflation gods and achieve season 1 glad.
It really feel like it’s impossible to hit glad without familiar players, especially with third party sites like check pvp that act as an additional gate to playing with players with more experience, even for skilled players but with lack luster History

Not having anything on check pvp would prob be worse
between solo shuffle having hyper inflation and it only being 1800, it might as well be free at this point. I kinda missed having juicier things to push for rating wise, but it is what it is I guess. Can’t be too exclusive with xmogs they went dumpster diving for.

They put a wild/warmongering elite bow on a timewalking vendor a while back.

9/9 I’m pretty sure was an elite transmog along side from the conquest and elite ones earned. There was 3 different pieces in total in Shadowlands. Conquest piece, elite piece (1800 for set), then elite (transmog piece at elite). This is not the case in DF.
Close, it was 8/9 or Duelist for the elite “lookalike” piece.
Missing being able to dress up in another classes elite set. 
I got 18hundo first week this season cuz I somehow found time to play. Now tilting a bit, so is my lock friend at 2k. An interesting start for sure.
What I’m really after is the new red enchant… finally something after a decade they wouldn’t restore my Glorious Tyranny. It’s something to play for, I guess 
casual life is fun but still not entirely free, I’m glad to have something to queue for

im also enjoying the casual life style hence why i had so little games played last season heck i got 21hundo with barely any solo shuffle played too compared to others on these forums.
