Count me in.
I’m using a NAGA classic I bought 3.5 months ago. The right button issue occurs randomly. I just purchased a RED DRAGON mouse on Amazon for $29 that will be here by Thursday and hope it solves the problem. If not, my WoW days are over. This dragging the right mouse button issue to pan my camera is too game breaking.
Update:
So far the instructions given by Xcision seems to be helping. Haven’t had the issue happen in about 10 minutes.
Update 2:
Nope, problem not solved. I hit reloadUI and it seems to help a bit. I’ll just wait for my RED DRAGON mouse to arrive on Thursday before making any final decisions. Because right now it’s too inconsistent to tell if it’s a hardware or software problem. It just seems so pronounced playing WoW so the blame generally goes there. Thursday I’ll 100% know for sure.
Same issue here, just started happening today. Can’t hold my right mouse button and look around while pressing another button. I can look around with my right mouse button when I’m not holding other buttons but not when I press another button.
This has happened multiple times over the years and I STILL have not found a fix for this issue, it just seems to come and go with WoW updates.
Why is this still a thing after all these years? I just don’t get it.
I think I might have found my issue, testing it now.
Earlier today I put on a trinket called Razdunk’s Big Red Button. I think this conflicts with holding your right mouse button to strafe turn the camera. I took it off and I think that fixed my issue. I’ll edit this if that wasn’t the cause.
The issue was the crappy NAGA mouse.
I have zero problems with my cheap RED DRAGON and it’s still working just fine. I recently purchased another one as a back up just in case. I can literally buy 2 red dragons for the price of that NAGA. So far the only problem I have with the RED DRAGON is the buttons require more pressure to push. But you get used to it in a few days.
I’ll never buy another overpriced NAGA product again. Funny how it went bad a week or two after the warranty expired on it.
I also have a regular generic $6.00 mouse hooked up to my computer I use for everything other than gaming. This way it preserves my gaming mouse much longer.
