Mountain dew codes

So I live in East Texas and I drive quite a bit for my job. I’ve been to 30 + grocery stores across all of East Texas over the last week searching for these mountain dew boxes with the wow codes. Today I finally found 1 and went to purchase the mount off their website and it shows sold out. While I know that’s a mountain dew issue and not necessarily a blizzard issue, has anyone else had this problem? I’m kind of irritated for two reasons. The first of which my wife is diabetic and we don’t drink full sugar sodas so I’m stuck with this 12 pack that will most likely be thrown in the garbage and secondly how the heck do they sell out on a digital item?

Yes, everyone is having this problem.

Blizzard only gave Pepsi/Mountain Dew a certain number of codes. It’s unknown if they will give them more.

FOMO within FOMO.
It’s not marked as restocking as some of the other items are.
Just a crappy promo. Blizzard will probably sell the recolor(s) later.

Well it just seems like it should have been noted that it was a limited time item, so at least we knew what to expect. Hopefully it comes back available.

Seems like a scummy promo, unless maybe there’s print on the box that details the limitations?

The terms and conditions clearly stated all items were limited and subject to availability, so it was noted

Btw, if they ever do give Pepsi more codes, you guys should try gas stations.

I didn’t have a problem finding the promo Mountain Dew cases at Speedway. Probably because people will turn their nose up at paying an extra dollar for gas station prices

Yah I went to a couple of QTs and multiple other gas stations out here. No luck. Meh it is what it is. I’ll get over it. Just thought it was a bit ridiculous. They do mention it’s limited time which would suggest available throughout the promotion period not until they sold x amount.

I hope the bike and other rewards goes to the Trading Post in the future if they don’t give them more codes.

Well

During the Promotion Period, reward items will be available in limited numbers, and are available while supplies last and are subject to availability (“Rewards”).

That’s directly from the program terms you checked a box saying you read and agree to when you signed up for the account.

There is print talking about the limits. The batches of rewards may also be refilled, depending on the contract/promo deal.

The rewards are in batches. The company running the promotion will have a contract with the game company. The game company issues batches of codes based on that contract. So, if they ask Blizzard for more codes then depending on the contract, Blizz might give them more.

During the Promotion Period, reward items will be available in limited numbers, and are available while supplies last and are subject to availability (“Rewards”). To explore the available Rewards in the marketplace (“Marketplace”), visit the Website. Participant will only be eligible to redeem for Rewards for which Participant has banked enough Points for. To redeem for a Reward, the Participant must navigate to the Reward and select their choice, then click, or tap the Redeem Now button to redeem that Reward. Participant will receive an email confirming the Reward they redeemed, and the Participant’s Account will be debited the corresponding number of Points after redeeming a Reward. Participant will also be eligible to redeem 100 Points for a Sweepstakes entry (“Sweepstakes Entry”) during each Sweepstakes Entry Period. Participant will receive an email confirming they received a Sweepstakes Entry and the Participant’s Account will be debited by 100 Points. There is no limit on the number of Sweepstakes Entries a Participant can redeem Points for each Sweepstakes Entry Period assuming Participant has sufficient Points in their Account.

All Rewards available on the Website are subject to change without notice. A limited quantity of physical Rewards will be released each week during the Promotion Period. Check back regularly each week. Rewards will be redeemed on a “first come, first serve” basis in relation to when Participants electronically complete “check out” transactions in their Accounts. Once supplies of a Reward offered are exhausted, the Reward will be shown as out of stock.

Once any Reward is “out of stock” that Reward will no longer be available, unless restocked, as determined by Sponsor, in its sole discretion. Restocking of any specific Reward does not indicate that further restocking of any other Reward will occur. No exchanges, returns or refunds on any Rewards are permitted for any reason. Sponsor may, in its discretion, add new merchandise for redemption during the Promotion Period.

Hopefully Blizz gives them more codes for folks to redeem, which the promotion company will need to ask for. It would be logical that Blizzard would provide them more codes given how long the promo runs.

i wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t just glad i was able to give codes for the bike to as many people as i could

I understand there’s fine print 99% of us didn’t read. It just seems all around scummy though. It also seems like a kick in the teeth considering I’ve driven over 600 miles this week, for work, and have stopped at every store I could find and couldn’t get these codes. It turns out most of these grocery stores were cycling out old products first and didn’t push out the new products with the codes, which makes sense but it’s still sucks.

Well this was intended to be a US ONLY promotion. Blizzard did not have the foresight to BLOCK code redemption on EU accounts. The moment this was discovered people started selling them on ebay. So now you have double the amount of people using the codes than intended. Which leads to them selling out twice as fast than intended.

Analogy: When there is enough water in a well for one village but the village shares the well with the next village you no longer have enough water for your village.

Im sorry but they can only blame themselves for that one.
