Mount equipment *sigh*

Yes, a gold sink, and a really clunky, inconvenient way to provide this functionality that we already had.

This could have been such a cool addition to the game, but in its current incarnation, it’s terrible.

I’m trying to stay lightheated today, so I’m going with humorous. Catch me on another day, and I might have a different answer for you.

Lol fair enough

Be careful there. I’m not being insulting to you here. I’m saying that your reasoning of ‘they obsolete things and they were just late in this instance’ is not right. It’s purely subjective in nature, and can be disproven by the ways that I stated (gems can still be used, drakes still fly).

Only systems change every expansion. Items that you earn don’t stop working. My necklace to the black temple, my ring to dalaran, my timeless isle trinket…they all work. I earned all of them.

So please stop with the preaching. You are just wrong about the official reasons, and instead are peddling your own opinion of things.

If you aren’t close to 70 years old, then I am the adult in this discussion and you may be old enough to be my child. So stop with this projected feeling of superiority, please.

Yeah it sucks. The only good thing about this is I’ll never have to use a water strider again.

Not to mention being condescending.

Exactly.
Just wait till something THEY have worked for is screwed with enough that it annoys them. They’ll be in here screaming about it and those of us who arent affected as much can tell them how entitled they are.

uh…no…they wont.
They get it ‘free’ for characters level 100+
I have probably 60 characters now who are LOWER than 100 who all have to BUY equipment to do something I EARNED TWICE.

And as per usual anything that SEEMS to be for our benefit always has some underlying agenda tied to it.
I agree with the others who have said that blizzard will now use this equipment to ‘turn off’ water walking in new expansions until X date…or even make a grotesque ‘pathfinder’ thing out of it for water walking.
Just one more reason for me to never, ever buy another expansion.

Your whole post is on point. The part I bolded makes me sad because it does feel like the devs aren’t really doing this to help players and improve QOL.

The crap design decisions being made to this game make me not want to support it. I want to love this game and I want it to be good, but the devs are making it unbelievably difficult.

You’re cherry-picking to suit your own flailing narrative. Legion weapon trains no longer work. MoP cloak effects no longer work in new content. I earned the ability to socket wrist gear on my BS in WotlK, that’s long gone.

Many things change and retire over the course of a 15 year-old game. Now the WW of 2 mounts have been added to that, as the devs have long been tired of seeing this silly entitled crutch being used in expansions after expansion.

Their only fault is that they didn’t do this sooner.

Adapt, or move on. :

The part you bolded speaks to the lazy entitlement that is, thankfully, going away.

Where in the world did you get this figure? Also, that is a mighty big conspiracy theory.

And I’ve said numerous times those aren’t the same things as mounts. So let’s ask again, should Drakes still fly?

This isn’t difficult. You just lack the ability to be self reflective and realize when you’re wrong.

I mean you are entitled to your opinion (correct usage of the word entitled by the way), but you are still wrong about the premise that it’s obsolete. Hell, nobody at Blizzard has said that it was obsolescence.

And I’ve said numerous times “they are now”.

Accept, or move on.

Lol, they are removing water walking from shaman? Was just leveling my KT shaman in STV literally last night, discovering how fun it was to walk on water like Jesus across the river instead of mounting.

RIP this game, man, they can’t leave anything fun alone. I know, let’s prune more, that’s fun!

=(

That doesn’t sound spiteful and cancerous at all. Nope, sure doesn’t.

Yeah bud. You go to Nazmir and try to “go around” those superfish swimming at 300% speed. No one even talked about pvp dazing. You must be prot. the only way I can see you being naive about the amount of dazing added into BFA.

They are!? Source… Now!

Just people in this thread, I hope they’re wrong.

There has been no indication that will happen, but at this point who knows.

Yes, they are reagents for equipment.
