Mount equipment *sigh*

These items will be made by professions (e.g. Dazed from Blacksmithing) and can be replaced at any time. However, the item is destroyed when replaced. [Judgehype](https://worldofwarcraft.judgehype.com/article/rise-of-azshara-summit-on-a-joue-au-patch-8-2-chez-blizzard/) announced that Blizzard thinks the price should be 1,000 gold .

Except for the Angler’s Faction rep locked Water Shoes, everything else is a crafted item.

The crafted equipment items require new zone and existing mats to create.

Some of the items required to make the new equipment are the current Bardings and Hoofplates.

These are only obtainable via the AH unless you can craft them yourself, and since they require the existing consumable plus new zone mats, figure the prices to be very high for a while.

It’s not the same and you didn’t answer the question. Should drakes from TBC still fly?

I can still use my artifact, it just doesn’t have it’s powers. I can still use gems from previous expansions if I want as well.

The question is not relevant. In 4 days, you’ll be buying or acquiring mount eq, otherwise that little bug there is going to sink.

Reality.

I can still use gems from previous expansions if I want as well.

Well, technically, sure, but a person would be kinda dim to use Argus gems that are +11 vs a green-quality BfA one that is +30.

Hmm, I qualify as a “QQer” and yet I don’t have and never have had the Water Strider and this character is only a few weeks old with my other characters being: Monk, DH, Warrior. And I don’t plan on buying into the system via AH price gouging when my max gold is 75K on my monk.

Having said that, I still see the issues where this is a poor change and very likely to cause widespread QQing down the road in 9.0 when the current mount equipment no longer functions in the new zones. Pro-tip: the current consumables that mount equipment replaces are Legion and BFA zone specific.

You are the one that said 'things from the past are obsoleted and they are just late with the strider and it’s water walking.

I’m asking you to apply your thought to it’s logical conclusion, and asked you if the drakes from TBC should stop flying.

You can’t answer that, because you realize how it makes your entire argument fall flat. So you bring up other things to deflect.

The lesson here is, state your opinion on something and leave it at that. It’s not because things are obsoleted and the mount is the same thing. It’s entirely different, and it’s easy to point out how different it is.

But you’ll double or triple down I’m sure. But you’re still wrong.

Hey, I get it, the change is coming. I’m fully aware of it. But that doesn’t mean I have to read bad arguments and accept it.

I thought you said they were taken out of the game and we could not use them

Which is it, were the gems retired or can you still use them, make up your mind.

No, not dim at all. Maybe they can’t use the current gem and need to use the one because they are in that content still. See how this works when you let things play out to their conclusions based on a faulty premise?

To answer you question: Waster Strider can still waterwalk. Just need an equipment, which you will get for free if you already have it.

If they were to do the same with Drakes from TBC, they would add an equipment to make them fly.

There you go, your answer.

Well here’s the good news, there’s hardly any water in Nazjatar or Mechagon to worry about so at least the daze equipment will be useful. But tbh this just seems like a band-aid fix to something that wasn’t even a problem. fairly lame idea for such a large business that prides itself on it’s development… or at least they used to. There are much more exciting ways they could have gone about this and it’s unfortunate that this is what we get.

Agree with that.

So said in another way it has zero to do with things being obsolete from a previous expansion?

Now everyone can pay gold for something they already had.

There’s nothing logical about it; a stupid question is not acknowledged, that’s all there is to it. One of your fellow Strider Complainers tried this as well and was shot down;

From here on out, you get the Triple-A; Asked and Answered. :sunglasses:

No one should be wasting time socketing gems while they level through past expansion’s content, so again, like other things you have put forth, it is an irrelevant non-point. These are are the sort of “but why? but why?” questions parents tired of, honestly.

This is accurate lol

They won’t. They will get it for free.

Question for those who may know:

Are the bardings being left in the game?

For example, could I put the water walking equipment on the mount and then the anti-daze buff on the character?

Or did they strip the bardings from the professions?

The BFA bardings are used to make the new antidaze equipment. So, they’re still there…that doesn’t mean they still work, but one can hope.

No it is not. People that have the water strider get 1 piece of mount equipment in the mail on the character that has the rep. It must be bought and mailed to all other character on your account. so yes I am rebuying something i had for all 30+ characters I have.

Most humorous post of the day right here.

Humorous or completely stupid?

No they did not. but I believe the tooltip states can only be used on Kul tiras and Zandalar, so they will not work in the new areas.
