Mount equipment *sigh*

I think classic is going to be a flop, at most 6 months and you’ll be back unless you’re in the top 10% intending on doing naxx, have fun.

We’re not mad others can now buy what we earned.
I’m glad there are more options, especially for those who never earned the strider.

We’re mad because what we earned is being taken away, and other than ONE toon that gets free shoes, EVERY ALT MUST PAY to regain that functionality.

No entitlement there.

He’s broken.

I couldn’t care less about someone paying for WW. I am a bit irritated that I already earned it and I have to pay for it again. Why would I envy someone who’s doing the same thing I’m doing?

I’m sorry, but getting one of something back when 50 were taken to begin with and being irritated that I have to buy the other 49 again isn’t entitlement.

Like I said… Not sure you know what entitlement actually is. I’m wondering if you understand what envy is also…

That was the cost they said they were aiming for with mount equipment when they talked about it in their Q&A.

Tbh even after earning the ugly strider mount the one and only reason I use it is for the water walking aspect to it, I couldn’t care less about the mount, it’s just a +1 to me. But I personally don’t like using mounts that don’t have a super rare drop % or are just rare in general or very expensive like the brutosaur. I really don’t know who would farm the water strider just to use the water strider tbh, there are tons and tons of better looking mounts out there.

I think you need to take a another look…

I said nothing about “repossession”. I said that what I bought should stay the same (outside of normal wear and tear, of course) as it was when originally purchased.

If someone comes and breaks it just to replace it with something inferior for no reason other than “reasons”, I have a problem with that.

Something new coming along doesn’t mean something old should be broken in order to get the something new.

Well looking at your armory you’re a world quest/warfront casual player, have fun in classic when the only thing you can do is dungeons/raids/bgs. Literally nothing to do outside of those things other than fishing/mining/herb/profs.

Don’t cry when it takes months to get a piece of gear if you decide on raiding if anyone bothers taking you.

Also look at when it dinged 120. This isn’t my main. Yes, I am casual af until August. I’m also leveling other toons until then.

But you still aren’t proving yourself.

This amount of discontent that blizzard has towards it’s customers by claiming they’re “whining” and “entitled” isn’t going to end very well for them. It never does. And you seem to be following right along. Big surprise. Go ahead, tag another.

Casual explains your entire raid/account history and not just BFA.

Do tell my account history random 13 warrior. I’ll wait.

Not very difficult to look up your armory even with special alt characters in it, been a casual ever since you started, randomly farming mounts here and there from expired content.

Why? Because you wouldn’t?

My favorite mounts are Invisible (Yes, I know…) and the fire bird from that one boss in Firelands.

I love rare mounts also.

I generally used the Strider to cross water. But now I will use it all the time. I farmed the rep because I farm all the reps, the WW mount was a bonus for me.

What does that have to do with anything, though?

You folks seem to have some odd idea that those of us who want our Striders to remain WATER Striders either don’t want equipment at all for anyone or that we always used the Strider in lieu of any other mount…

That is simply not the case.

I see more Striders today than I ever have in the past 6 years on land and in places where there isn’t even water around.

I had even started using my surf board toy more than the Strider to cross water.

“Better looking mounts” to whom? You do realize that beauty is subjective, right?

I know a ton of people that think those goofy looking Infernal mounts are just the best things ever. I hate them.

I don’t like the Protodrakes, their wings are weird looking and they walk funny when on the ground.

I don’t like the worm looking mounts that came out with Pandaria…they look like they are having a seizure when they fly.

The fact is, if you pay attention at all in game…MOST players only used the Strider to cross water. But Blizz, and these forums, would have us believing that the Stider is the only mount we ever even see in game. Only half the playerbase even has a Strider in the first place.

So I don’t want to make liars out of the stat guys over at Blizz. Therefore, I am going to make their “lies” into truth and only use the Strider.

You said my whole account. I have never made any mistake on what my focus is. PvP. And like I said, this character dinged 120 a month ago today. I said I am killing time.

1: what account history are you speaking of, random 13 warrior bootlicker?
2: what difference does any of that even make?

Salty much?

Because people usually don’t want to dismount to use another mount so they have the water strider as default even if they dislike it.

I seriously wouldn’t farm the water strider if it couldn’t go across the water in the first place.

I will do the same. As you mentioned, I do not mind the addition of this system. I think it appeals to people and they may enjoy it. I just don’t want it to affect my enjoyment of the game.

Classic will flop with the lazy retail crowd, but it isn’t meant for them to play. Classic’s crowd, are the people who play private servers, and those who miss the grind.

I played the demo, and all of the stress tests and I enjoyed the grind. I also enjoyed the community aspect of it.
For example, playing retail, I make it a point to always buff people waiting for bosses or who I see out in the world. Not once has anyone thanked me for the buff. And very few people have ever buffed me back.

When I was playing classic, people were buffing people left and right, even though it eats the mana. I was thanked/bowed to every time I gave a buff to some one.

Same went for when I came across people struggling with mobs. I’d help them and they’d thank me. If I was struggling and people were around, they’d do the same to me.

Totally different attitude. People were supporting each other, not calling them names because they disagree with them.

I support those who want mount equipment, and I would support them if they wanted a specific ability added to the mix.

Perhaps, they could support me in my quest as well.

I don’t think you’re understanding what I said…

Before the past few weeks, I rarely ever saw anyone on Striders unless they were actively crossing water or getting ready to do so. Contrary to what you apparently think, not many players actually mind changing from a mount they like to a mount that gives a functionality they want for a moment. Those who do generally use the Strider in certain zones (like Nazmir), but not as the “default”.

Today, I see Striders everywhere, even where there is no need for them which shows me that many players feel the same as I do and are just using the Striders to protest this change.

My hope is that it continues. That when the new expansion hits next year there will be few mounts about that aren’t Striders.

I’m sure you wonder a lot of basic things. If you’re mad over 50g, I’ve lost interest in arguing with you.

Literally nobody likes the look of the water strider
