Mount equipment *sigh*

I was hoping someone said that, it would be more like “the thousands.”

Something like an Engineering “leg-mounted flotation device” that let’s you walk over water on any mount.

That guy is a prophet…

https://www.reddit.com/r/wow/comments/ansyqt/we_need_more_waterwalking_mounts/

Genoce The pretty straight-forward fix that gets brought up quite often: instead of making water striders give you water walking, let the players gain a permanent passive that allows water-walking while mounted on any mount.
I.e. in addition to selling the Azure Water Strider, Nat Pagle would also sell a book that gives you this passive ability. Same source, but doesn’t limit you to use the strider

Nurvus Ultimately the fair answer is to either remove extra effects from mounts or give all mounts an effect (or ability to grant them an effect that makes sense).
However, the Mount system needs to be revamped before Blizzard can properly balance Mounts around utility.

Those are what I could casually find, with them being harder to find now (since, as you’d guess, any search on “water walking as equipment” brings up the million recent threads about it being added.)

The threads were on the boards every expansion since striders were added, mainly in the “pre-flight” period when everyone used the strider. They were on the European boards as well.

So 3. I was wrong.

The Water Strider mount was really ugly… I’m glad I’ll have an alternative option!

And saying we need more water walking mounts =/= destroy the strider and give us an inferior system. Don’t even try to connect the two.

Sounds to me like you just want to gatekeep. But I do think the Water Strider should automatically come with Water walking equipped or something, it is unfair to take away from a mount.

more buzzwords -.-

damage control mode: activated

Who cares if it’s a “buzzword” buzzword itself is a buzzword.

When people asked for new water walking mounts, they were not asking for removal of the strider’s ability and an inferior system that is still buggy. That’s just fact. 1+1=/=6. In no way is that “gatekeeping.” It’s just another buzzword for the purpose of ad hominem

This is the exact reason why I like this change, I earned exalted with the anglers at the beginning of pandaria and still approve of this change. The water strider is fugly and I’d rather use a mount I like using than being forced to use one I don’t.

What on earth are you talking about? “Ad hominem” is also a complete buzzword. It’s so pointless to argument semantics.

You are definitely gatekeeping, whether you dislike the world or its definition, whatever. That’s how language works. Grow up, man…

We can agree to disagree but I like this change. It’d be better if Water Strider kept the equip, and based on all the complaints, it just may.

Sometimes it happens.

People haven’t earned rep since Timewalking.

You’re joking right? Sarcasm?

Every mount can walk on water today. That’s what the Elixir of Water Walking is for.

Also… I think my little water bug is kinda cute! Leave him alone!!

Hope you don’t see me around ever… I’ll never use a ground mount other than the cutie pie bug again.

Plannin’ on it. And only the bug will ever get the benefit of using them.

Most of those speaking against the strider have always been too LAZY to work for it.

For those who hate the look, congratz at getting new options at the expense of those who actually earned the now-useless strider.

Yeah but this is a +1 for us. No more ugly bug and I never feel like I 'earned it". I just did fishing dailies to get it, nothing special.

I’ve had the water strider since early/mid pandaria, it is an ugly mount compared to the brutosaur/felsteel annihilator/invinicble/mimiron head/ashes of alar, I could go on. As far as people being lazy and not wanting to work for it then they can’t go around the lake but you’ll always have lazy people in any thing they do.

It blows my mind how so many people have this entitlement syndrome.

That 2012 Cadillac you bought in 2012 isn’t being sold for the same price in 2019.

You guys have to get over this mentality of “I’ve done/paid ‘X’ for this and everyone else has to as well or else I’m gonna get angry.”
