Mount equipment *sigh*

I don’t know about this, but I wouldn’t mind if the water strider kept its innate ability and was allowed equipment on top of that.

Maybe it’s because I didn’t farm the rep for the WS but I’d still be pretty happy that I could water-walk on other mounts…

When you look at it they’re in there separate zone they’re kind of an instance. And soon it’ll be any mount.

They could before with water walking elixirs.

I wish I hadn’t looked.

Was already more than annoyed enough with Engineering without having to see that they’re adding 3 more modules to our garbage ‘Ub3r-Spanner’.

Yeah, and they completely redid the recipes. So the ones we have are no longer good there.

I wonder how ridiculous the ingredients will be

I could see it now the race to get this items will be crazy from the start.

Once in awhile bought or sold it’ll take months for you to acquire that stuff from heroic raids lol

I wonder if they would have a recipe in the dungeon in 8.2 would be interesting. Let’s hope it don’t take to long,But can see trade wars happening.

It’s confusing, but it seems that [Light-Step Hoofplates] are identical to [Heart of the Crusader], [On a Pale Horse] and [Open Skies].

BFA PF1 stacks with those, therefore it should also stack with hoofplates equipment.

If it doesn’t, it should be treated as a bug and reported.

Ain’t that a little crap!

All the more reason for us to forget about it by 9.0 so they can flush the feature out of the game and pretend like water striders never happened.

Very good point! But to save the company time and resources and US players a headache, they shouldn’t implement dumb stuff like this to begin with.

Totally agreed. Though honestly, it doesn’t look like much thought or effort went into it. Unfortunately.

And while that sounds mean/snarky, it’s not intended that way. There’s changes that require breaking and resetting bones to make new functionality fit… and risks like that require much more deliberate planning and preparation. This? This is really small beans. The hardest part was probably figuring out where to store the one item of data tied to the character.

All for a superficial low-hanging fruit tweak that’s loved by people who think that water walking on everything will be grand, but pretty much hated by anyone who can see beyond that superficial layer.

The Water Strider is ugly AF. Everyone hates that mount.

Trivially false, considering that there’s numerous counter examples, which you would have seen had you been watching any of the numerous threads on this issue.

You do realize, which some folks don’t,that by hating the mount you also hate the person it represents. That’s a lot of hate there.

I love mine; not sure where you’re coming from.

That sounds like an opinion to me. I enjoyed that cute little bug.

I plan on using mine as much as possible when restricted to ground mounts. I absolutely love its aesthetics. The only thing I don’t like about it is it has only four legs. It really ought to have six.
