Surprised that this hasn’t been fixed yet.
I have encountered this on my human warrior alt only. All other characters have the equipment showing up. My warrior can still walk on the water with any mount.
edit: I stand corrected it’s now gone from the equipment slot on all characters, but the effect is still there.
Same here, equipped water walking yesterday and now not there.
This is addon related. You want to look for addons you have that are hooking / interacting with the Blizzard_Collections UI.
I’m amazed it hasn’t even been “acknowledged” yet. Bad form.

What should they acknowledge? That an addon has broken it? If you disable all addon’s, it works. So the fault is not with Blizzard.
I did not check last night, but I did notice that the water walking was gone on my main. I have afraid to check my alts. I am not an add-on addict, but there are a few that I do use constantly and would hate to have to go without using any because no-one has any idea where the problem is and is unable to acknowledge a problem, or suggest where the problem may lie.
Wrong, disabling all addons and the mount equipment is still gone as well as the effect.
Logout and Login after disabling them, simply reloading the UI doesn’t bring it back.

False. I don’t know where you got the idea that an addon caused this; but it simply isn’t true. My mount equipment, and the effect from said equipment is completely gone. An addon wouldn’t be able to cause something like that, as it’s a problem with the actual program coding within the game, that establishes the item, and its effects itself.
same happened to me just now. first just the mount slot was empty but I had the effect, didn’t bother me. now I went to walk across the water and fell in. its completely gone
My mount equipment appeared again today. There was an update, maybe that fixed it.
Was there ever any fix mentioned for this. I have tried all of the above and my water walking is just gone on one character. It’s still there on other toons.
Has there been a fix for this. I have alts that are having this problem.
