@ Motion Sickness Folk

low framerate jank with camera controls like that is an any% speedrun to get me to acquire motion sickness. That game specifically tops the list of getting me sick instantly.

No it is not.

No one is asking for the entire game.to change because of something that.may happen to literally anyone— even people without motion sickness issues.

So you’ll dig your heels in to be extremely insensitive and rude.

No, you just accused people who have deadly allergies of purposely trying to kill themselves.

Maybe understand the difference.

It’s unfortunate yeah to people that suffer, I agree. I would prefer they grayed it out where it doesn’t affect scores at all due to this so there wasn’t an obligation. That’s a fair middle ground I feel.

Fun fact, I can’t play Mario 64 as well because of this.

I don’t play Phasmophobia because I get motion sickness from it, so… I don’t play it. If you are allergic to peanuts then don’t eat a snickers candy bar.

This issue is why I couldn’t even attempt to play WoW til recently.

Since I didn’t get my monitor til circa BfA, and didn’t actually hit lvl 60 for the first time til last year in SL.

I literally cannot play WoW @ 60hz without getting sick every time I move my player camera.

What are you, Barooh’s alt?

Maybe go back and read the thread before you dismiss others.

I actually partly agree with him. While I wish they would fix whatever’s causing people’s motion sickness, To disregard it just because a small minority of people have issue with it seems a little silly.

I think the point he was trying to make is if a small group of people can’t Handle something doesn’t mean it should be taken away from everyone. Compassion and understanding go a long way in this world but At a certain point you just gotta say this isn’t for me. And be ok with it.

Yes, that’s exactly what I am. Anyone that agrees with someone you don’t agree with is someones alt.

What’s affecting me personally literally is a core mechanic of most games out there.

For maizou it’s moving backgrounds.
For me it’s camera turning.

And I will hope that each and every one of those things could be fixed. And if it’s affecting a large group of people I would support removing it, whatever large group means

The weird thing is I wasn’t expecting high refresh rate to actually help.

I was in the market for replacing my older monitor, and found out empirically afterwards the display rate + framerate both being triple digits helped my issue incredibly.

We don’t know that it is a small minority. Especially with how prominent the issue was in Warlords that had so many topics and discussions.

And literally no one is asking for it to disregarded. Read the linked thread from CC forum. In full.

No one is asking for it to be taken away.

Please understand how this affects M+ and scoring if people cannot run a dungeon.

This happens to me too. I always chalked it up to car sickness (being hot in the car, which for some reason my body heat just doubles in a moving car, also triggers it). I can ride amusement park rides, roller coasters, and drive just fine. It’s when I’m a passenger in a car specifically that things go wrong.

Actually $200 starting with 1080p.

But i digress since i do agree it’s not, nor it should be a valid solution. I do think Blizzard should implement a way for people not to get motion sick on that dungeon as an option of coarse, and i think i might have the solution, that being the cliffs that are there for the beginning can replace the scenery for the entire ride.

I do understand but I just don’t think it’s gonna be a big enough percentage of people to warrant action taken.

The good news is I don’t make the rules so it’s up to blizzard

The technical issue list is quite long, lmao.

I’m waiting on Blizz to fix the issue with “compute effects disabled” putting the effects at low instead of disabled, until you manually select low and then disabled every time you load wow.

Or maybe every gambit key autolisting as streets by default. Or maybe someone being aggro’d with trading game trash bricking a streets key by deleting an instrument if one is picked up while aggro. Or maybe it’s the portal after the dragon boss on gambit sometimes failing to work at all if you pop an immunity.

The actions proposed, given what we know about how it works, shouldn’t be too difficult.

If they’re capable of adding many other accessibility options, options to have the background not move shouldn’t be asking too much.

Well we got to start somewhere, right? :man_shrugging:

Really? i didn’t know that was a problem.

Hope they fix it.

That would work too, along it’s on the user’s side though, like a graphic option if you will.
