Most of the complaints here are about PvP servers

I was never able to do anything productive on a PvP server unless I was with a gang of my own. Otherwise, I spent more time corpse running than leveling, which is why I stopped playing on PvP servers altogether.

I don’t mean to criticize people who play on PvP servers, but complaining about things that happen all the time and have happened since launch, seems pointless.

Yes, there are more players on each server than there were in 2006. However, that is a change in degree, not the nature of the server imbalance itself.

Retail PvP servers (as they existed) were in a constant state of imbalance. Many became known by their faction predominance as much as by their name.

I think that some of the balance problems that presently exist may work themselves out over time.

The fact that Blizzard recently restricted the last round of transfers by faction (even though this occurred mid-transfer period) is a good sign and suggests that Blizzard may initiate more faction-specific transfers as time goes by.

One thing is for sure: you’re a paid shill, Velara.

I’ve seen you before engaging in baseless apologia. Remember when you defended Snowfox when someone had the audacity to call him/her out?

If that’s the only “thing” you know for sure, then you know nothing.

You have no basis for attacking me and if you can’t contribute anything worthwhile to the conversation then go post in another thread.

What kind of person, after witnessing what the complaints are on reddit and the official forum, repeats the same tired cliche of “PvP happened on a PvP server” without addressing the core complaint of faction imbalance? That is not normal behaviour, and is indicative of some sinister reason for you being here.

My contribution to this discussion is that you aren’t trustworthy in the slightest.

But what do you want Blizzard to do? This happens on servers more balanced. Honor is not even a week old…

We know the answer to this question. This is getting so tiresome…

Force a split and give incentives for being the underdog.

If the exact same thing is happening on servers that are more balanced, what would this do? The same people crying will still be here saying it wasn’t good enough.

Hey, well, at least it’s better than nothing, right?

Better than sitting on your hands whilst the game gets ruined…

Or maybe just be patient till this dies down… rather than make knee jerk reactions like they did when they added extra servers.

Sorry, is this a condemnation to making more servers?

They had to make new servers. In my region, Oceania, Arugal could not hold all the people who wanted to go onto it. Yojamba had to be created.

And they have to do something about this in some capacity rather than server transfers for Horde.

Uh yea it was, they easily could have added more layers and held off one more month rather than splitting everyone so thin to be in this predicament.

Yojamba is “high” population at peak. That is not “spread too thin”. And if servers have a low population, they can easily meld them together. They can accomplish this, and they’ve done this before.

Layering isn’t a good thing. Stop endorsing it.

When are people going to wake up and see what you apologists truly are? Because you’re not “fanboys”…

“High pop” doesn’t mean what you think it does. They changed the meanings recently for high/full/low

I remember the craze over names… what about when two people have the same name?

With this many players, and if you don’t want it to turn into retail, layering was a necessity.

What’s funny to me is you don’t like the imbalance now, but layers literally saved you from it.

Layering was never a necessity except, perhaps, the first week of launch.

Explain what “high pop” means, then, if I don’t know what it means. Are you saying high is actually low now?

If two people have the same name, offer a rename. What the hell are these weak arguments…?

Come on! You’re barely disguising the fact you’re being put up to say this!

The only incentive to give would be something not gameplay specific. Faction queues.

I hope they don’t gerrymander these alliance heavy PvE servers into the PvP battlegroups such that we end up with horde instant battleground queues and alliance on massive PvP server disparities sitting on long duration battleground queues. THAT would be the thing that crosses the line for me.

Ofc it was, otherwise half the players wouldn’t be able to log in.

Not that high is low, but that high doesn’t necessarily mean high. I’ll have to find the blue post for ya.

Maybe you don’t realize how crazy people are about names. I bet that would be a bigger deal than pvp on a pvp server.

What did Snowfox do?

All this modern technology at their disposal, and somehow layering was required to fit people onto servers…? They can’t create more servers and then merge them if they became too low?

Am I expected to believe this lie?

People are crazy about cheating and smurfing. Should we give them a pass too at the expense of the greater good?

Did you really want them to come out with over 100 servers like retail has…?

Snowfox was a notorious apologist with a massive post count. That is not “fanboy”; that is “paid shill”.
