whats the most fun caster dps in arenas atm? just coming back after a long break(do not enjoy destro). don’t care about rating, torn between affliction, boomy, and ele but will take whatever suggestions.

I guess it depends on your definition of fun but if you go affliction you’ll probably spend more time losing than winning. Also with affli i think if you’re kicked you’re basically locked out of everything which doesn’t feel good.
I’d always thought boomkin looked fun. But people that play boomkins are complete d*cks though I swear. Worse than DKs. Not sure i’ve met a good boomkin that was a nice person.
affliction to me always feels rewarding although usually a lot harder than other casters. i love the dot and rot feel, but its definitely frustrating at times. i think i’m going to try ele, last i played the magma turret was pretty fun and easy

I think its just the goofy class fantasy of it. I first played lock in legion when malefic grasp and stacking UAs was super strong. So in my head, the “good old days” or the nostalgic part of playing lock will always be the drain playstyle.
I have played destro and i dont hate it. But i feel more like im playing a mage. Demo is a lot of fun too.
I basically just want to cosplay as guldan vs durotan when he starts cheating.
Part of fun for me is minimizing frustration when being trained. I would say ele makes me the least frustrated.

Devoker, Ele, boomkin are my most fun to play right now. Devoker for the crazy one shot play style. Ele because i like to stack mastery and just let jesus take the wheel. And Boomkin is always going to be my favorite caster and right now it’s very strong.

Is mastery the move right now for ele? I bought a bunch of honor gear and went with haste for the flame shock ticks but i wasnt sure. Couldn’t find any eles on ladder that had talents specced, so either theyre hiding the sauce or armory is broken

Probably an enhancement shaman bc they just do 180k lightning bolts from Range as a melee class.
IMO Ele/boomy>arcane/demo>The rest. Boomy and ele are SUPER fun because they’re pretty mobile, easy to do damage with, have a ton of control, and aren’t insanely punished by being interrupted.
Ele feels a little better imo atm because it’s a lot tankier and doesn’t have to cast as much, but controlling the game with cyclones feels amazing.
mage and warlock are also SUPER fun and very strong, but are also harder to play and can be less fun when being trained before you learn the ropes.
