One of the main reasons is because outside of the Shield of the Righteous ability, their damage mitigation is bad. They get hit very hard.
Its just a worse ironfur I don’t know that I’d call that a good one.

Stop looking at tier lists some guy in a basement put together. Paladins are objectively 3rd in representation in overall keys, +15 and above, and 4th place +20 and above.
Face the facts with data, not some tier list.

Fun and best looking?
For me, it’s a dead heat between the shield bros.
Paladin has amazing looking tier sets in all expansions. Moreover, avenger shield is an amazing ability, dwarfed only by death grip. And paladin allows you to play a bit of support too, with blessings, cleanse and WoG.
Warrior has heroic leap and charge. Like, yeah, that right there is a big win. You can’t be as supportive but you feel like the unstoppable force in a warrior.
Personally I’m spending more time on warr, simply because when I’m not tanking, arms+fury>ret. Nothing wrong with ret, just prefer fury and arms.
Edit: races, forgot- for paladins I really like male dranei animations personally, but male human is a stereotype for a reason. My horde pally is a blood elf, and the armor looks amazing but I HATE their combat animations, thinking of changing him to zandalari. For warrior, orcs all the way. My warrior is dark iron, but if I didn’t have a bias, I’d probably go with female pandaren (all their melee animations are insanely good)

I think as far as flashy, DH takes the cake as best looking tank. I think Druids might be next?
Paladins are literally flashy, I like brewmaster visuals though.
I’m failing to see why you are not viewing your indecisiveness as an opportunity and reason to be one of each. 
Flash? go DH. It wears leather, less flash than some plate…but that’s what your paladin/DK/warrior will be for.
I am soserious when it comes to misinformation.

Honestly OP, I would just make one of each tank class using trial accounts and then test them all out on the Dummies in game.
DH or pally for flashiest. I’d say DH is probably the most fun due to mobility (or prot warrior).

Draenei protection Paladin #1 most fun for me.
Run around like Captain America flinging your shield is just fun 
Druid Bear Form #2 and the easiest to play in my opinion.
Those are my two favorite specs for tanking.
All the others are meh.
I have mag’har warrior level 18, should I stick with em?

As a tank who barely tanks and does solo content mostly I am having an easy time with my Paladin.
