Wasn’t the flame on your candle animated years ago? If not, it should be.
Pirate ship battles!
Most of us don’t. The extent of my alt posting is when I’m called out for not having a certain character or spec and then “rate my mog” threads.
Okay, I’ll bite. Please provide proof of this.
It’s another bait and switch post. Stay tuned and stay subbed for the next big nothingburger.
The well is dry, the devs don’t have anything left in the tank, it’s all recycled emptyware to keep y’all subbed and their shareholders happy.
The worm has turned and it’s all about $$$ now. Creativity, new content, refreshing gameplay is long gone. You are now on a carefully designed release schedule to keep you engaged just enough to stay subbed.
Well, Holly, you kinda blew it already. Expectations aren’t very high.
Holly Longdale
I like her enthusiasm, but she definitely needs to learn how to properly read a room and generate hype accordingly.
This just seems like a subtle way of saying they aren’t adding a non-PvP queue to plunderstorm for the event.
Maybe reduce the plunder required to get to 40 by 50% instead?
This seems like an incredibly dishonest take. Like saying something you dont believe yourself or mischaracterizing the problem entirely for undisclosed reasons kind.
She means well, they know PVP is in a rough spot…so they threw them a bone, the surprise backfired but oh well, as a PVE player I still enjoy PS.
From the article: “experimental” and “experiment.”
Now I understand why playing Blunderstorm made me feel as I did: like a rat in a maze frantically running around to find the cheese while being chased by people determined to kill me.

There are always exceptions.
Happy players are playing the game. They don’t really take the time to come to forums to offer positive feedback and praise. When they do they are immediately attacked and drowned out by the forum trolls that patrol here hourly. Disgruntled people then see no positive feedback and believe that means there are no happy players and everybody hates it as much as they do. They feed off this negativity and it emboldens them to be even more toxic.
If you’ve read these forums for 20 years you’d wonder how the game even survived past 2 years. The forums will have you believe WoW is a hateful environment full of trolls and toxic elitists. Every expansion is the worst expansion. There is no innovation and when there is it’s attacked because we should have just been given another raid. Plunderstorm isn’t wow but somehow player housing and pet battles are. “People only play the game because it’s like an addictive drug” yet sub numbers continually drop and players come and go as they like proving it’s not addictive.
No. The reason this game has lasted 20 years is because all the negativity you read on the forums is just the vocal extreme minority. Most people playing wow enjoy the game and don’t feel compelled to tell the forums that. They tell blizzard they enjoy the game by buying the new expansions and logging in.
My friend, your issue is you are treating the Forums like some whole. Yes, there are people that complain. But guess what? I have seen way more non-complaints than complaints. And those who do complain, more often than not have some feedback to give.
And I am still waiting on proof that its the ‘same five people’. I admit, I have seen some people, through the analyzing of syntax, grammar and such, use alts to troll, but I would like some proof to your very specific number.
Nice, thanks for lettings us know. a secret wouldve been fine as well.
I hope its Survival.
The problem with this is that there were people in game talking about how bad it was, In Retail trade chat and in Plunderstorms chat as well. There were people on Social Media talking about how bad it was. I’m not saying no one enjoyed it. And I am glad that PVP players got some content. But pretending there aren’t a significant number of players upset by how this event was handled is either disingenuous or tone deaf.
For those who enjoy it, it’s great. I am happy for them. But there should have been more open communication about this event. As well as testing beforehand. Just because you enjoyed the event doesn’t mean that the people who didn’t are less valid than you.
Now about that proof for your claim of ‘the same five people’.
You’re fixating on the number even though you know it was hyperbole.
Ok. Any proof at all of any number?
You made the claim. You didn’t frame it as hyperbole. Are you saying you made it up?
No, they didn’t update PvP at all despite people asking for PvP fixes for months. People went “Well maybe after the tournament… Maybe after MDI…” and crickets. Nothing.
