More solo content - the future of WoW

They are in 11.1.5, I’m kinda wondering will it be something they’ll merge into delves in the future with its mask mechanic or whatever it is.

Having said all this, I tried all the content I didn’t like in BFA, pvp, raids/m+ and quit. I am perfectly happy with delves. One of the reason I wanted to get into pvp in BFA was warmode, because leveling was just so slow, and I needed to defend my alts. All that in TWW., gone. Took me 2 days to get to 70.

Here is the thing though players like me who aren’t as good still want to be competitive in casual bgs or open world pvp/events (if open world pvp events still exists).

Delves have zero to do with PvP and the crafted pvp gear is solid for bgs as your farm honor gear.

The issue is that not having good gear puts already disadvantaged players at even greater disadvantage. Not only do we have to contend with our skill issue, but we also have to contend with the fact the other player could be super geared. Letting solo players have an opportunity to be on a somewhat even playing field is fairer.

Solo players have all the same opportunity everyone else does. Especially in PvP

Let’s you need 200 currency to get one piece mythic 15+ gear. A delve could drop 5 of that currency per run, and maybe 1% or 2% chance to drop mythic level gear. A solo player would need to do 40 delves just for one piece of gear. One 20-minute mythic 15+ run guarantees at least a couple of people loot.

This is an entire example that doesnt exist in the game. Solo players shouldnt have access to myth track gear period. Its not a hard concept.

People would still do mythic raiding/mythic dungeons for faster gear and the chance at world first cosmetics/titles and a hall of fame/leaderboard in the cities.

They already get that.

It’s not that. I’m the type of player that needs 50 deaths in a boss fight to figure out the whole thing. Since many raids now have instant wipe mechanics for your team also, its makes raiding and high level content undesirable. It took me at least 1000 deaths on Malenia in Elden Ring before I learned how to dodge everything and not get hit some of her 2 shot attacks.

After all the recent survey results collected from all of us players they have indicated future expansions will not have M+ or Raids but focus more on Delve like content along with smaller group activities similar to what you find on places like Siren Isle.

Where did you see that data? Or are you guessing based on Blizz’s latest moves?

No they shouldnt. Solo content cant be anywhere close to the myth track gear. 11 delves are maybe worth hero gear pre nerf.

No. You don’t get to get free Mythic gear for simply logging into the game.

No they aren’t. Not in any way shape or form.
No one wants games to offer zero challenges and give you broken stuff for merely logging into the game. That’s what predatory Freemium games try to do in order to get you hooked and addicted to gambling.

Facts aren’t bait. Clearing delves day one at level 8 was not difficult enough to award hero track gear.

Delves are not hard content and should have never awarded hero track.

I’m sorta fine with Hero track, at least if they would’ve maybe done it in the way that they do M+ Mythic gear. Because if Delves dropped Normal gear then it would still be moderately powerful gear for the content that they partake in, but folks who only do Delves should still get some kind of progression to work towards and thus adding Hero gear to the vault could be a decent compromise.

I’m not actually against Delves providing hero-track gear as a drop but I do get why that breaks the game, so… adding it to the vault seems like it could be a fairly decent compromise if one were to remove it from the actual drops at the end of a delve.

I enjoy two things

How much people think a few more ilvl will effect their gameplay. “I am not good but I want to be competitive”. Ilvl isn’t going to make you competitive.

And seeing people put a certain level of entitlement on display. " I deserve the best rewards for doing easier content. Why? Because I want them"

I’m ok with hero track of the difficulty was raised. Being able to solo my way to hero track gear day one of a major patch with how easy it was is bad for the health of the game imo.

I used to think this way.

“I’m only parsing grey/green because my ilvl is low.”

Took me a while to realize ilvl won’t fix major rotational mistakes and I took that deep dive into improving as a player.
