Possibly because the paladin-encouraged brand of loyalty is to an intangible and dogmatic set of ideals that promote duty even at the expense of things like home and family.
I.e. the sort of adherence to “duty above all for its own sake” that Bastion is looking for.
So far there’s isn’t anything about the Alliance or Horde. Plus it downgrades Light from one of the two major cosmic forces alongside Void, to one of “the four lesser cosmic forces”.
Plus given Blizzard’s love of retcons, I don’t count on all this remaining canon for long (except maybe the Uther’s soul-splitting retcon, because that reinforces the Sylvanas soul-splitting retcon).
From an pov of a very orderfocused person this sounds true. Shamans are not like “this is my power and i stay here”. Shamans are full of opposites, like the elements itself, they deal with many themes at the same time and are no easy fit to fill a box like all other great forces.
Once again, I wish that Blizzard would acknowledge that the Blades of the Fallen Prince exist, because every time they hype up Frostmourne to be even more terrible and cosmically important, it gets even more disturbing that I have the pieces of it in my DK’s bank.
I wouldn’t mind it as an option, but I must admit that I’m a bad Frost DK player in that I prefer duel-wielding (I just like the animations better for a male blood elf). I understand the sentiment, though.
I’ve been running around with one Frost artifact skin or another ever since Legion on my death knight, and I just feel that at this point, someone probably should have noticed or taken offense. I realize transmog isn’t real, but Bolvar’s the one who had us reforge Frostmourne’s shards into twin one-handed swords in the first place, and one would think that he might remember that detail and find it relevant to mention!
Pretty much just specifically talking about Sylvanas in relation to Zovaal’s overall plans, and connecting it to the Horde would be solidly tying it into
On an unrelated note, why is Sylvanas’ in-game model so much worse then that concept. Maybe a proportion issue.
Ysera also hasn’t been the designated villain for most of this expansion.
EDIT: And besides, Ysera’s entire storyline past being resurrected is about Tyrande, by all standards she is an alliance character for questline purposes.
Sylvanas meanwhile is a completely different beast, wherein her story is Zovaal and Anduin, neither of which are Horde.
So the great “pages devoted to the Horde” were a paragraph about how Sylvanas manipulated and betrayed the Horde to damn their souls and empower herself?
