No we are not, and DH in lore as we play them are strictly Illidari. Nearly all other old lore demonhunters that are not illidari are either Legion pawns or retconned away.

You mean the two races that have a shockingly deep historic connection to summoning demons? It’s why we got manari skins and the Highborne did summon the legion to azeroth to begin with.

Lore is easily used to support whatever they want to do. More races please.
As an avid transmogger, the female night elf armor is not the best. The shoulders are scaled far too large for any but few options to actually work. With shoulders usually being the most interesting armour piece, this is really limiting.
We’ve gotten tired of having same discussion every other week. There are already 101 threads on this topic, and many of them include several comments from me. Shouldn’t have to keep repeating myself.

Yep, nothing is stopping them but the effort (read money) it would take to expand the classes to every race. The lore can literally be made up on the spot and no one would bat an eye.

As I recall the human demon hunters wowpedia is referencing were part of a TTRPG book that is no longer really considered canon. So it’s not exactly a bulletproof justification for your cause.
If any of these posts lead with or even mentioned trolls as an alternate DH hunter race I’d be more sympathetic to them. But instead of suggesting trolls - who already have lore precedent and pre-existing justification for being DHs or DH-like - they always go for the joke or lore-blind options like pandas, gnomes and orcs.
“B-b-but MAGIC,” is always the retort and the answer is the same as it’s always been. If there are no rules and anything can be justified with ‘magic’ then nothing matters because you can always just ‘magic’ out of it which is additional damage the WoW story really doesn’t need right now.
So count me out. I don’t support a single race mentioned in this thread as DHs and I’m tired of players constantly trying to turn this class into more of a joke than the devs have already made it. If you want light-hearted pastel DHs with tails the Dracthyr are right there, go to town.

I love the class and game, that is why i pay and play it everyday, and want to see new things. Not sure about you but don’t spread hate just coz ur grumpy.
Also like i’ve mentioned, please cite sources to backup your claims. “as i recall” is not enough. Also, i cited 2 books, not 1.

The burden of proof is on you, not me. This is your post where you’re trying to convince us all of your viewpoint. I - on the otherhand - am not trying to convince anyone of anything. Even my conclusion is openly subjective.
But go ahead and keep explaining to me how I’m the one who hates the class because I continue to play it through one of its worst balance periods in history and enjoy it’s original thematic conceit. Regale me with how your disdain for the class’s aesthetics makes you the superior ‘fan’. I’m sure it will be worthy of recording in the Jedi Archives.
Not really, we just want new races and Blizzard can make that happen whenever they choose to. It will just be a matter of time.

DH Draenei already exists as NPCs.
Why would it “cheapen” lore… You can have DHs that aren’t illidari.
We already have Druids, that aren’t part of Cenarion Circle
Priests that aren’t part of the church of the holy light.
Paladins that aren’t members of the silver hand OR blood knights.
Mages that aren’t part of the Kirin Tor, or High Elves
DKs that weren’t alive, or unalive for the third war.
There are Eredar NPCs that use demon form, and attack with DH spells in game. At least one of which (from an invasion) is a named NPC and no some random quest mob.
Just because the class, for a game mechanics perspective, uses the same spells, doesn’t mean that they had to be around for illidan to recruit and train.
If they add void elves, humans, or draenei (eredar) as options for DH. Those DHs should start at their racial starting zone, or newbie island, and not do the DH starting zone.

It’s fine. Nobody cares about the story making sense anymore anyway.
It used to be fantastic. As big of a draw for players as the social/mmo aspect.
It’s like video game companies have this blindness about the effects ignoring/disregarding/disrespecting the source material has over time.
How many franchises have we seen fall victim of their own hubris and fade into obscurity?
Halo comes to mind.

Assassin’s creed
Fable
Etc etc etc
It’s bazaar, but ultimately their prerogative.
If you’d rather have a game be a vehicle of some agenda or ideology, or force inclusion, or water down the story, or homogenize the distinct borders between race and class, cultural motivations and taboos. It’s become less about pleasing fans/veterans of your game. Less about casting a net aimed at drawing the majority.
It’s seems it’s more important to please the most fringe of audiences and make as little money as possible. It’s very hipster 
Why put work hard making something that makes money as a result of the passion and care you put into a game, when you can sell micro (or macro) transactions in game and get your bag with minimal effort or Fs given?

The leader and the enemy are still there, they are locked in an eternal struggle that will blow up during the last titan
Personally I think DH’s should be kept to elves and elves only. No humans, orcs, trolls, gnomes. Just elves.
