I don’t. The only way demon hunters should open up to other races is if the Legion comes back for another round and they get the DK treatment.
Hey, you’re right, we should open all classes to all races.
This like a different tinker and more JRPG than the tinker we know.
I am crying out like the DK in BfA, to include the Demon hunter for other races because I balanced the population between Nelfs and Belfs in both factions for the only requirement in this class.
Let’s hope that in the next expansion the Demon hunters will return again, since the Nazhretzim are still back and will probably reorganize what was left of the legion in Argus.
In that case like the Monk in goblins and Worgens, it would not be for all races given as it would be for these races:
ALLIANCE RACES FOR DH
- Humans
- Voids emos
- Worgens
- Draneis (not the Lightforged)
- and both gnomes (not joke)
HORDE RACES FOR DH
- Orcs (not Mag’har)
- Both Trolls (as long as it’s a replacement for the missing Shadowhunter and yep, use warglaives as a weapon)
- Nightborne elfs.
- Undead forsaken
- Goblins (not joke).
I say that, because this was closer to the vile influence, as we would also have a new appearance in the use of the Methamorphosis transformation as the difference in the Totems of the shamans for race is seen to be the same.
Cool, cool, love seeing Tauren and HMT left out again.
the Tauren another option especially the Highmountain Taurens that were some subjected by the Legion, but to another of your answers …
Wow… and I thought that’s gnome was the only one who wasted no time on a post-apocalyptic concept of Azeroth with Gnomes and Goblins cyber-demon hunters.
It would also be a pandaren neutral option, as long as I screw up the lore concept order as it was with the Monk in Forsaken Undeads, and mechagnomes on chi.
in that case it would no longer be an exception of races, it would be like the DK, all races would have DH, we would expect them to do the same with the Worgens and Goblins with the monk, but we only have to hope that the future holds us without another Sylvanas in a HD opening cinematic, as if it were to summarize all WoW now stupid.
The point of my constant frustration is that there is nothing about the class, or ANY class, that should be the equivalent of a height requirement to ride.
The training is grueling. The process is draining. Few even survive to tell the tale. You’re making sacrifices beyond even your cultural norms. You’re reaching for power beyond any expectation.
Using only the above statement, what class did I just describe? And why can’t any race accomplish the above?
the only serious answer in which WoW is saved, is a new expansion.
As it would also be my first option, however the second option that is yours would be that there would be no inclusion and we can all be Demon hunters.
Pandaren Demon Hunter lets goooooo
I do like the idea of a playable eredar being a draenei DH…but I have a sneaking suspicion that if eredar ever become playable they would be a full, proper race (and probably be unable to roll DH ).
DH races are fine. We already have too much goofy stuff in WoW.
The goofiest thing in WoW is arbitrary reasoning for why you can’t learn this kind of thing.
“Sorry your ears aren’t sharp enough, better luck next life friend-o.”
For real?
Having everyone have everything makes things bland and dull.
It’s like saying Warrior is a dull class because ‘everyone has it’.
You are the one that should be making your character interesting, not whether or not you won the Class/Race Combo Lottery™.
Too much edge can be just as goofy lol. Like being a walking, talking My Chemical Romance album.
Blizz made things way to generic as it is. We should have more classes from WC 3 like Spell Breakers, Blade masters and Necromancers.
… all the time.
Ignoring lore is how this game gets ruined.
My favorite thing is how people pick and choose when lore is important. If they want something, “ignore the lore!” If something they don’t like happens, “OMG that’s such bad lore!!!”
The reason you have generic classes is twofold: You can RP your way through inconsistencies and balancing what would be at this point 36-45 classes would be hellish. Plus, there are obvious losers here too. What do Humans get? What do Dwarves get? What do Tauren get?
‘Warrior’ is an excellent catch-all for a group that is further defined by the individual.
Considering each spec is basically a sub-class, he already has what he wants to some extent.
And every MMO has some more generic classes while sprinkling more unique ones. For example i’ve never seen anything like WoW’s shamans in other game in term of flavor.
GW2 (my other MMO) mixes generic stuff like Warrior and Mage with more unique ones like Mesmer and Revs.
And tbh its not always perfect to try too hard to be unique. Mesmers has one of the most anti-fun kit to play against by design, for example.
Also, there’s no evidence to suggest that full access to all classes will somehow lead to homogenization across everything. Tauren and Gnomes can both be Warriors, but you’d be laughed out of the room to say they’re identical in any way outside of mechanics. And even when they might be, then that’s a point of unique interest. WHY does the Gnome seem to like headdresses and feathers instead of the ratchets and gears typically associated with them. WHY does the Tauren delve into mechanical secrets their forebears swore away from?
Having racial choice dictate class availability locks players into a box there’s no escape from narratively. Tauren will always be the big dumb naturalist strongfolk. Night Elves will always be the aloof xenophobes hiding in the dark. Gnomes will always be the eccentric geniuses. Goblins will always be greedy.
It’s so boring.
I mean if you really want to make a “contrarian” character its perfectly possible already, make a Tauren Warrior with Engineering and some WoD gearsets with spinning gears and whatnot and you got it.
Your anti-Gnome can be made playing a Gnome Monk using Druid tmogs.
