I still do not see how Blizzard didn’t include the Lightforged as a Monk race. That seemed to be a missed opportunity.

They’re basically zealots for the light I guess? Any other form of discipline or reverence that doesn’t pertain to the Naaru is like blasphemy to them or something?
I’m confused why the Lightforge were even thought up in the first place. They’re the worst race in the whole game.
Keep in mind we have the Scarlet Crusade with Monks… they are fanatical as well.

Let’s say that when the draenei were first created retconned I actually really liked their lore. How they were the premier light Naaru revering race above all other races, above even the simp humans. So I made a Draenei paladin and crusaded for the light forever more… only to have the Lightforge come along and be more lightier than me… How am I supposed to feel about that?
It’s like introducing Elune-touched Night elves… They’re like Night elves, but blessed by Elune. Which makes regular Night elves what…?
Or introducing Greedlins, they’re like goblins, but greedy, making regular goblins… something not greedy.
Edit: Or better yet… Goldlins! They’re like goblins but their level of greed has taken them as far as fusing their bodies with gold, so that now they’re half golem-construct half goblin. Gotta have a foil to the mechagnomes right? And the Goldlins can even be paladins too! because shiny makes light!
I guess you could bring in the Eredar as a customization for the Draenei. Your justification could be that since the Legion has been defeated, they have nothing left but their demise unless they join the Demon Hunters in their crusade against the pets that Warlocks summon.

I’ll be honest having DHs restricted to two races is pretty annoying…

Yeah, especially when one of them is the crappy blood elves.
We took over. We run the rituals, boom.
In the intro we have basic transference powers. We teach the Illdari to be vengeance or havoc. We impart a bit of the demon power up to them.
Some are going well other races would blow up. So did a night elf DH when we taught the way. By lore PC DH’s are an elf who took the fel and lived. Elves die in the process too.
so if 100 gnomes want to try out and 99 blow up but that 1 lives to be a PC gnome DH… this is why I’d ensure my staff has those waivers signed and notarized all legit. Family sends a lawye I will show the waiver and go begone lawyer lol.
Every race that can be a rogue and can drink fel should be able to be a DH. It’s not hard to figure out, just do some spinnies and let the fel take over.

Any Demon Hunter can make new ones and the Burning Shadow existed before Sargeras and will exist after him.
Orc as well, for the red skin and spikes.
Since when does Lore dictate much in retail? Using lore as an excuse for not doing something cool is meaningless.
