Soon bots will outnumber real player population on US servers, which is happening right now on Asian servers.
Currently on Asian servers, there are over 10,000 DK bots online on a single server 24/7, taking up considerable server quota. Players have to queue for up to 10 hours to get into the game, when finally logged in you can barely see any players in Dalaran.
Almost 50% guilds have disbanded over the past few months because no one can even get on unless you start queueing 10 hours before your raid.
Literally hundreds posts on Blizzard’s official forum, mocking the company using the worst possible vocabulary, we are yet to receive any official response from Blizzard.
All the bots you are seeing is nothing, wait until they crowd your server and make you unable to login.
Asian servers were ground zero for GDKPs and RMT tolerance. Now that they’ve killed off their host servers they are expanding outward. Started seeing it over a year ago when the china bots hopped onto NA servers because the chinese client gold prices tanked.
Blizz doesn’t care though. They likely want to kill the game off by end of WotLK to push people back to retail rather than have a bunch of side projects they can’t monetize as well.
I assume you’re implying that I would post here to contend with the OP’s claims? Do people misunderstand my posts? You realize I was posting about the DK bots in battlegrounds months ago, right? You even threw my post a like.
Every time I’m accused of defending Blizzard it gives me a little chuckle. I’m defending the truth, I don’t care which side the truth falls on. The irony here is that most people here crying on this forum everyday would get along with the people who make up this company they despise far better than I would.
Read a lot of those threads. The amount of pay to win, RMT, and botting going on there is absolutely insane. Nearly every thread on the Asian forum is reaching out about this issue with complete disgust towards Blizzard.
Glad to see we can all band together world wide, voicing to Blizzard to do something about this.
The love letter to the fans, creating Classic as it was then, has been tarnished and burned. Ruined by player greed to hire botters buying at wholesale to then resale gold to their GDKP servers, with no regulation by Blizzard to end it.
In blizzard pockets. Plus bots don’t complain They just bot and you wonder why blizzard are not in a hurry to get rid of them what your asking is for them to burn $1,800,000 for the sake of a players that will just constantly complain all day long.
Love to see where this guy pulls these random numbers out of a hat. The boys are 100% Chinese players that came here after their servers were shutdown literally started happening within a week of them being taken offline
The WoW Token just streamlines the monetization on Blizzard’s end and provides even less incentive for people to break the habit of relying on the wallet for gameplay outcomes. It will just kill Classic faster for the non-whales.
If you check the Chinese forum, every time a banwave goes out, Blizzard posts full list of accounts being banned which can go up to 4 forum pages. and even immediately after the ban wave, you still find hundreds of DK in every dungeon. Not hard to estimate the number of bots by just looking at how many account gets banned and how many are still online.
We have gotten 7 pages of banned accounts in 2 days.
Each page contains around 1,000 banned accounts (I actually used line counter). So 7,000 accounts banned in just two days, while many are still online.
I may not have the exact numbers but 10,000 bots is most likely an underestimation.
At this point I’m just hoping that at the end of wrath, nothing happens. If classic era and WotLK can just exist, then we’ll have a place to go and the community is great at sorting itself out. We just need Activision to ignore us and hope the pittance they earn from our subs is worth keeping someone around to flip the weekly maintenance switch. Right now we’re just a cow getting milked and there’s no end to that but a slaughterhouse.
