More Allied Raced or Sub-races

Are people still hoping for more allied races one day?

I want to see San’layn, Fel Orcs, Eredar, Ogres, and Blood Trolls.

I’d take a less defined version just to get more - eg Undead Elf customisation for Forsaken or Blood Trolls for Trolls.

No. I definitely DO NOT want any more allied races.

Although, adding more unlockable cosmetic options in game would be awesome…like the night warrior eyes

Add gilgoblins to that list, but they shouldn’t be customization, but a full blown AR. They have a lot to offer to the horde both lore wise and appearance wise.

Blizz has said more races in the future are always possible. If they happen to be a doable project and make sense in the context of the story.

I would never expect those kind of races to join us though. They’re just unapologetically evil.

I agree perhaps “Evil” races should stay evil, my biggest dream is they actually go back and look at the past Races we’ve helped and Allied with from all expansions.

Ogres from every warcraft game the Horde is in.
Tuskarr and Taunka from WotLK.
Jinyu and Hozen from MoP.
Vyrkul from Legion.
Ankoan, Gilgoblins, Sethrak from BFA.

I’m not saying they all should be added they are just examples, but in the past we’ve helped so many Races many more then what I’ve listed, Allied with them aswell, it’s about time they join in on the fight!.

No. more. allied. races. EVER.

Sure, new races you can play, Im happy for that. But the only way of doing that should be to log in, select New Character and then pick the race. Races should never be tied to any sort of grind.

Never got the appeal of ogres. People carried on about ‘fat’ Kul Tiran, how is an Ogre going to be preferable? And they wouldnt be huge, they’d be orc sized at best. So ugly single headed big-bellied orcs. Surely we can do better than that?

I’d say they’d be Tauren sized, but literally Ogres are a Horde staple… it’s like going to subway and imagine they don’t serve subs, Ogres have been apart if the Horde from the beginning.

I want MANY more AR’s.

Sethrak, Saurok, Ogres, Furbolg, San’layn, Kelfin, Jinyu/Ankoan, Taunka, Revantusk, Frost Dwarves, Real Wildhammer, Alteraci humans, Mok’nathal… probably a dozen others.

Not a fan of sub race customizations versions… you might have been able to tell with the “Real Wildhammer” bit.

My dream is Wildhammer Clan gets the Allied Race treatment, full make over, Racials and all…

One can dream :frowning:

I think there will be more added in time.

I don’t expect Shadowlands races, but i think we’ll see some others.

I hope for Saberon for the horde, not sure what on the alliance side.

I dont think them being around "from the beginning’ means they have to be playable.

Look at all the other unplayable races, there are heaps of them, including (just to name a few)

Arrakoa
Cenarius’s children
Ethereals
Furbolg
Satyrs
Naga
Kalu’ak
Murloc (though they do have THE best dance in the game…)
and the list goes on. There are so many and the only reason ogres get considered is probably because they are humanoid and would be relatively easy to equip gear for and put on mounts. They are rather ugly, but then again I guess the Horde is used to oogly.

I’d love to see those races included aswell, I just didn’t wanna type everything out on my iPad, its a pain haha.

But Ogres I guess are like Kultirans and Mechagnomes, they are like a fine wine, an acquired taste.

Personally for me, I’m all for more choices, more races, more customisation.

What game in the world, a mmoRPG game, where to much races or customisation has ever been a bad thing.

Also on your mention on Cenarius Children, I was hoping they’d be a Resto Druid form, Dryads and Keepers of the Grove seem so fitting for it. I quote “ Keepers possess many strange powers over nature and can be counted among Azeroth’s best healers”

As long as they aren’t the equivalent of the Mecha-gnomes. I couldn’t really care. (Sethrak)

More customization’s for the races we already have, would be nice.

Troll beards.

You once asked me why I am so against them. I think it will just end in another Mechagnome disaster where a very undesirable race gets released and nobody will ever give them a chance.

Oh, yes, please. But only for the Darkspear Trolls to make them unique from the Zandalari Trolls who in return can stand upright.

If they add actual NEW playable races sure.

Thus far, for the most part, the allied “races” are nothing more than glorified customization options that could have been achieved via the character creation screen, the barber chair and in the case of Kul Tirans, a slider

I don’t think they are comparable to mechagnomes for a few reasons. I didn’t respond last time since it was a helf thread and I thought it would be inappropriate to go that direction, but here is my reasons as follows:

  1. From what I have see the reception to gilgoblins has been a heck of a lot better then mechagnomes. I think its because of their kind selfless nature and character development when helping them in Nazjatar.

  2. Transmog issues are absent.

Unlike mechagnomes I am pretty sure they would be able to wear all armor pieces. This was one of the big issues people had with mechagnomes.

  1. The aren’t really the lazy reskin people make them out to be.

If done very well, they could have some very interesting custom options. I would consider them more akin to dark irons or one could say they are sort of the void elves of goblins. They could have tentacle hair, bioluminescence. We know they have fins and some feet that have a unique shape to land goblins as well as the ears. We also know they cannonically have glow in the dark eyes. Plus some amazing skins could be made for them. Another thing is that thematically they are the opposite of goblins, whereas mechagnomes are sort of gnomes but gnomier.

Arakkoa, sethrak, furbolg, Jinyu, gnoll.

It just won’t be a good thing if it’s another human model with some funny physical attribute, another blood elf model with some stupid exotic color or another gnome model that many don’t mind.

I would like to see Mok’nathal on Horde, and iirc Rexxar’s updated model uses the same or a lightly modified male Kul’tiran rig so make use of it, and the female Kul’tiran rig and give us Mok’nathal already.
