MoP Remix: Game Freeze

As of this morning May 17th, 2024, my game had an update. After the update was complete, I went to log into my timerunning toon to continue leveling. Upon the character zoning in, the entire game freezes and stays frozen. I can hear the world ambience but nothing moves. Clicking on the screen promps the “program is not responding” message asking if you want to close said program or wait for it to respond. I had checked/installed all driver updates, restarted PC, etc. Still having the freezing occur upon login to this character. Close the program, relaunch on a regular toon in Valdrakken, game loads and runs just fine. Logged out, made a new timerunning character, logged in just fine, 0 issues. Logged out, tried logging into main timerunner, game still freezes. Anyone else having this issue??

Same problem for me. It loads, runs choppily for a few seconds, and then just freezes.

Exact same issue for me. It freezes for minutes at a time upon login then eventually unfreezes. Annoying.

Edit: this time upon unfreezing, it said I had lost the title “Storm’s End” (Heroic Lei Shen kill), not sure why

Im having this exact issue, retail loads fine but Pandaria is just frozen

Someone mentioned in a recent thread that if you disable your addons at the character selection screen and load in and the re enable them once you’re logged in your remix character, it should work. I tested it and it worked as a temporary fix until they can iron it out properly.

Just chiming in that I’m having the same issue.

Also just chiming in, that his works. Sucks having to disable and renable everything but it works!

Chiming in, same is happening to me.

MoP remix loads up and it’s frozen.

Disabled all addons, moved away, and enabled them all again.

Exact same issue for me. I posted on the wow help forum yesterday and and only had one reply from another person that had the same problem and didn’t know how to fix it. I did somehow manage to get the game loaded in on my Timerunning main with multiple login attempts, but every time I switched zones my fps would drop drastically. Valley of the four winds was the worst for it. And now today the issue still persists. I did get in perfectly a few seconds ago by turning off addons as others suggested.

Just as a heads up, I found out that the addon Mogit doesn’t play nice with timerunning. Went down through all my addons individually and this is the one that’s causing the freeze on login. You can disable it to log in then re enable it after and it works fine. Not sure why it’s only causing this one character to freeze up, but at least its a temporary fix.

Same thing.

Weird thing is: It’s only happening on 2 of my characters, which both are hunters. I can log into my other timerunning characters just fine

Edit: @Belladonna mentioned that mogit was having issues and that person is correct, or at least that’s the current one. I disabled it and I can log into my hunter again

Definitely Mogit is the culprit, thanks!

This was it. I disabled Mogit and it started right up. Thank you for taking the time to figure that out.
