honestly of all the prepatches this is the one i played not much of at all. No reason to gear grind, besides pet battles and just mucking about i was really dissapointed with this prepatch comapred to TBC/Wrath/Cata. I am still very excited for MOP though been loving this panda monk

yea the whole point of the pre patch is so do pet battles and level up monks and pandas and to see the fall of theramore but thats also why its only 20 days lol

I’m having a blast levelling my 4 monks and pets. I don’t know what you are on about. Cata prepatch was 24/7 digging around the world, this is vastly superior.

Same. And I’m playing more WoW than I have in a really long time, because I have so much I want to do. We’re talking staying up past my bed time. I’m an old lady. We don’t do that.

This isn’t true.
A lot of the gear you can grind will take you quickly through to 86 at least, and I heard the raid trinkets are good until 90.
If I remember correctly, the earliest gear you get going into Pandaria is 372, so between gems, enchants, better stat optimization, tier bonuses (at least for non-Monks) and being a whole 25 ilevels higher, it absolutely is worth gearing ahead of time

Why? What specifically do you find exciting about TBC/Wrath/Cata prepatches that you are unable to enjoy in MoP prepatch?

TBC prepatch had like one quest to do. wrath prepatch did actually have stuff like the undead invasion/plague, but the gear it gave wasn’t better than raiding gear so nothing to farm except for alts. and Cata’s prepatch was just the troll/gnome group event for a toy.

Prepatch threads are so depressing. I can’t imagine the state of mind you have to be in to play this game for year after year and still think that the window of less than thirty days between expansion packs is anything but an interim.

The Cata prepatch that was weeks of digging for level 85 BoAs was WAY worse.

Every prepatch:
- catch up on alts
- level up new mains if swapping and gear them up
- Run old content with the guild and complete missing achievements.
- Guild groups for old content for pets/mounts/achievements/transmogs
- Play through new content, such as new race/class.
- Complete the prepatch event for the rewards.
- Explore new systems and practice new class/spec changes.
- Run old content solo to get transmog.
- PvP for mogs and gear.
This prepatch is no different than any others. Except for it added Pet Battles and a lot of people are actively working on that side of content, as it’s brand new content for us.
TBC prepatch had 1 tabard quest. One quest. That’s all it was. Kill 5 mobs by Dark Portal and get the tabard.
Wrath prepatch was 1 quest in SW/Org iirc and world grind for T2 recolor.
Cataclysm prepatch was Gnomer/Troll event and Archeology grind.
You’re just making things up at this point.
I swapped mains. Leveled up new professions. Farmed up T5 on paladin (just boots from trash left) and my guild we still run weekly DS for everyone to gear up their alts with a little bit of gear for the early rush of MoP.
We got people online more now than during any of the phases raidlogging, as people are now actively playing the game to get ready for the new xpac.

didnt think about this but your right it is a short prepatch makes sense.
Ive enjoyed it. Like others said cata prepatch was digging. You have pet battles, pandas, monks, collecting pets from old raids in this prepatch.
This morning i just did classic and bc raids.
