I wouldn’t mind seeing this. I would play this if they could make it work.
If it was Classic wow*, as in the world and quests, BUT took retail and quality of life things like group looting, simplicity of stats on gear, removal of the mp5 rule, revised talent system, etc, i think it would be fun.
Now that being said i completely understand there are those that want “classic” wow in it’s truest form or those that only want certain things added extra. I get it we each want our own thing.
For me it would be fun to take modern quality of life wow and classes and get to run the classic world and feel like a small adventurer again eventually working through all the expansions. Everything in retail is pushed towards the end level that you miss out on the small little things and fun of the “leveling” and dungeons in the process. So you really can’t play retail and get the same “feel” of it.
That and getting to run old raids with modern classes/stats would be fun i think

WOD FOREVER IS BETTER!
I would rather have mop forever over classic forever…I would have played mop but i didn’t want to invest that much time into something that will quickly end…but mop is my 2nd favorite expansion so il come back if it’s a forever realm
MoP was my LEAST favorite expansion. Mostly because of the pandas - too cute and …pandering … for my taste.
But having played all the versions of WoW quite a bit since coming back half a year ago I find this close to the sweet spot. Not as slow and painful as I now find Classic Era (and Anniversary is not much better though it may get so if it moves one more expansion on) but without the constant changes and turmoil of Retail.
