Mop alt friendlyness

Can Mop get a warband type deal to make alts friendly? I remember mop be locked in on reps for advancement. Would it be possible to get a system to help with the grind for at least 2 alts. I know #nochanges but the reps are really brutal for more than mains for time sink. Gear and others I’m not really worried about just the reps. Anyone have thoughts on this? Our guild was talking about something like this the other day and it makes sense.

Reputations are only really an issue for getting your first character into the first raid tier. They’re no different from how they are in Cata, just without the tabards to earn rep in dungeons

they make it to where you can gain rep in the dungeons through marking that rep in the tab.

Now that you mention it that does sound familiar…I don’t exactly remember the details though, I think it might have been limited in some way?

Either way, reputations aren’t as big a deal as people make them. You’ll only really need them for your main that would be farming them otherwise anyway, and by the time your main is established in the raid tier your alts will have other avenues available to them to catch up, especially with LFR which they would be fools not to implement in Pandaria with how important the legendary cloak is

they removed LFR and replaced it with 5 mans and you expect them to add alt friendly features?

There is alt friendly features. Once you get exalted with a faction, you can get something from the quartermasters that speeds up rep gain on alts.

they didn’t remove it fully, they were prob trying to implement retail’s style an something broke, given how short they made the testing for phase 4 an prob how little time they put into it made it hard to fix the issue’s before release.

MoP isn’t that Alt unfriendly imo. It’s definitely harder to re-roll mains (to a fresh char) in the later phases though.

As far as I remember of MoP was it was very alt friendly.More alt friendly than the previous expansions prior to MoP to say at the very least.

I’m not saying the warband thing in MOP is a bad idea… but if you expect anything beyond a copy cut paste they can just toss on servers and then swiftly forget about… well… you probably are in for a big disappointment.

They won’t even fix things like peoples guild rep being reset over and over again… or the fact that the raid sometimes has a massive fog you cannot see anything in… so even bug fixes are few and far between… let along full blown feature additions.

they will do something to make it more alt friendly since they been doing it in cata i dont know anything about warbands but i so can see them puting in a tabard vender or something

my only concern about MoP classic being unfriendly to alts is that (currently) with no LFR it will be harder to get capes if you either make a new alt or swap characters mid expansion

To my understanding, Warbands are basically everything shared between characters.

So basically all reputations are Account-wides, a lot of achievements are account-wide (Which we already got that change), The ability to transfer currencies between characters, Sharing of flight paths, sharing of exploration knowledge, A Warbank which is a shared bank between characters of 490 slots for a total of 3.12mg (Would have to be adjusted… or maybe not), the introduction of Warbound until Equipped gear alongside Account Bound being changed to Warbound (Which basically allows you to get your alts more powerful gear, that you wouldn’t just sell due to being BoE), and that change to obtaining transmog… which is just removing the restrictions on collecting an appearance.

Oh, and some quests are Warbound quests. I would not be surprised if Warbands were implemented earlier in MoP, that the legendary cloak quest would be one such Warboud Quest that you could progress on any character and that said progression counts for all your characters.
