I took a break back in September so haven’t kept up on news but is MicroBlizz actually allowing the factions to group together? I mean that was something they were so adamantly against.
Yes, in 9.2.5 you can do instanced content with a mix of the factions it’s limited a little in you need to be friends with them on either battletag or realid but it works

My experience since the day the server launched and through its entire history? Yes.
Mediocre amounts of people in one tavern in one city, compared to many cities full of roleplayers on a consistent basis isn’t even remotely “okay.”
You can waive it off all you want with your limited experience, but it’s a ghost town comparatively.

Keep an eye on the Moon Guard forums, because they’ll likely have a thread popping up sooner or later so people can begin signing up to participate and with all the information. They do seem to have an updated website that went live a few weeks ago, but you’ll start to see things being advertised on the forums too with some regularity as they get things firming up. It’s a neutral event, so it doesn’t matter if you’re Horde or Alliance - everyone is invited.

On a purely quality of life note? The add-on “Listener” will be a saving grace for you if it’s not something you already make use of. It’s nearly impossible to keep up with all the chat/say/yell/emote stuff going on during that time. Also the Elixir of Tongues is also highly advised to have on hand (though there are often people offering up some for those who came unprepared.)
