Soooo people just all share one experience now?
And this seems to be a hill you wanna die on so I’m just enjoy the show.

There’s no one in SMC lol
But that’s not fact!
WRA is not as dead as you may want to imagine.
Unrelated topic but I got the blindfold from illidan today.
We should trust this 52 Worgen Druid with 77 posts as an expert on the Alliance.
Silvermoon RP absolutely is empty compared to what it used to be.
The server isn’t dead. Roleplaying guilds still exist. But the roleplaying community spread out across multiple cities isn’t a thing anymore.
But is there really a “community” though…
Its one of the top servers for realm pop, the majority of which is alliance so yeah id say so.
If by “community” you mean rampant spam, politics, and just everyone being a trolling jerk, then sure!
Cant say ive seen a terrible lot of that outside trade chat
To be honest, PVP servers back then were far worse.
There would be endless amount of hate speeches, toxic talks in general and trade and LFG chats.
At least RP servers were mellow. Only thing was that ERPers made it a meme and stereotype, but they minded their own business comparing to actual RPers.
I’ve had more poor experience with Stormrage players in Alliance than what majority players like to point fingers at MoonGuard community.
some “hardcore” Mythic+/Raiders are toxic as hell and would talk you down in Stormrage
But i don’t want to play there
And even i like it saucy occasionally.
Im sorry to hear that.
Mm. I don’t think the -only- one but it’s definitely populated. But so are Sargeras, Stormrage, and a bunch of others.
Imo, don’t come to moon guard unless you REALLY want an rp community. If WRA hadn’t died, I’d still be there ~_~
tbf, WrA had a lot of history to fall apart on its own.
I had to deal with very toxic Alliance guild where they have literally rejected me because my English was 2nd language, and said that my grammar is the only reason that kept me from being accepted. I had to ask them why they rejected me few times to a point where one of the officers was kind enough to be transparent and disclose the reason, and apologized because guild leader and co-leader refused to explain it.
Luckily, I am glad I dodged the bullet because all they ever did was RP in Hinterlands and didn’t interact with any other guilds or Alliance community itself because they were so gated, closed minded, selfish, and circle jerks. I ended up joining a guild where they were more active, and yet the members were very kind enough to make me feel like I was part of the team. I had to unsub due to IRL circumstances, and when I came back, the guild fell apart due to leader’s lack of motivation after WOD.
Aside from that, there had been ALWAYS arguments in Alliance WrA and Horde WrA pointing fingers and kept making new drama blacklists to each other through tumblr and twitter to a point where the people who didn’t want to be involved in such dramas ended up packing up for MG or smaller RP communities, or unsub and went to FF14.
I haven’t been in Horde WrA, but people had been DMing me about who is a trouble maker and why the community is having drought due to abc to xyz drams. So I said I didn’t want to be involved in the drama, decided to leave WrA altogether, and went to MG for a while until Shadowland expansions - where I went to Stormrage for possible end game contents.
MG is okay. I liked the RPers there for those who were passionate about it. I left because I wanted to do more PVE raid contents post BFA, and also I just couldn’t commit into being that Stormwind political council when I signed up for it and was accepted. It was too much conflicting with IRL schedule
It’s a shame, but RP communities can be the worst when it comes down to not liking someone and taking it to the extreme by either doxxing, stalking, and even going far to even threaten people who just want to have fun and make friends.
Well said and beautifully explained.
I like to be silly and weird but some ppl take things too far. I experienced a bit of this on moon guard and it’s extremely off putting.
