I feel bad for the average MGer after reading this thread. Their representatives here on the forums make them look much worse than the ERP ever did.

Proudmoore arguably has the most sense of community of any server, Alliance or Horde.

I started a new toon on Moon Guard to see what it was like after hearing all the stories. Also Moon Guard was spilling over onto my extremely low pop server so I wanted to see how active it was. I have met such nice people on the server and I am happy with how active it is compared to my old server. I do not RP, I stay out of Goldshire (unless there’s pvp going on - but I stay out the the Inn) and have only ever had 2 whispers asking if I’d like to RP. When I said no thanks they kindly left me alone. Sometimes hanging out in Stormwind I see random RP in my chat log but its never been inappropriate and I generally don’t pay close attention to my chat logs. I’m sure someday there will be a jerk or two as they are everywhere but so far I am happy I made the switch. Something I never thought I’d say - I love Moon Guard.

Doesn’t WrA have a supposedly “Canon” Ashbringer Blood Elf? I’d like to know how that insanity happened given the Horde is literally allied to the nemesis of the Ashbringer, the undead forsaken, and that the Ashbringer was made by Dwarves and Humans?

“Oh helfers are such demanding little pains-”

“But yeah Blood Elves deserve to have the Canon Ashbringer pls blizz.”

eh i think its fine. Most non-popular servers have luls until the next x-pac brings life to them again.

I rejoice in it. Watching people years ago that told me that Alliance would start to die on MG being forced to faction change leaves me vindicated.

Even Silvermoon is dead over there these days.

I’ve literally never even heard of this and neither have others I’ve asked. It might be a thing a guild is doing, but I can tell you there is no WRA-accepted Ashbringer Blood Elf.

Compared to what it was… it really isn’t.

Odd… no one ever told me that and I’ve been on both servers since the day they launched. O.o

Clearly I missed some sort of drama. lol

The Darkside of Moonguard is a pathway to many debaucheries some consider to be…unnatural.

guild drama lol. recruiters used to tell me to just faction change because the alliance will die so watching wrymrest slowly deteriorate feels lovely.

And only half of us are there by choice, the other half are stuck here because our friends are alliance and refuse to be horde but once 9.2.5 comes many will go horde because they aren’t stuck on a faction to play with their friends

It’s a huge week-long event held every year. All sorts of events each night - duels, jousting, races, booths set up. It’s amazing to see even if you’re not into the RP aspect. A few years ago it even caught the public eye and had merited an article in Forbes about it. Along with all of the in-game events, they always do a charity drive as well. The amount of work that the organizers put into it, as well as the community as a whole, it’s just something to check out at least once.

You seem to know a lot about this

No wonder no one wants to play on the Alliance side. Ewww.

Oh? I haven’t tried Moon Guard but I did consider it…I do enjoy some light RP on my adventures.

That said, most of the people on Stormrage have been really friendly and helpful. It’s a good server too.

Ngl, even with the cross-faction update coming, Alliance really are playing like Jedi during Order 66.

There’s so few of them and most are hidden among the moons of Moonguard and the far off star system of Stormrage.

They’re a faction on the edge. Their group finders are often empty or just +15 and up with 10-15 groups at max. But they get low que times for PvP so they’re all fighters from a young age (low iLvl) due to getting easy gear via bonus honor in quick pvp ques for epics.

The Alliance has turned into a people of self sufficiency and survival. “Against Overwhelming Odds”, if you would.

In a way they would be Darth Bane’s ideal Sith Warriors.

you say Hi to people these days and they get insulted

Epstein had a ‘community’ too. Moonguard isn’t the idea of a model community.
