Moonguard - Horde Experience

I never played on MG long enough to know the depth of anything. I just didn’t like the vibes there.

I think the closest I got to speaking to anyone on MG was some player way back in the day who used to constantly sell ultra rare things. I tried to buy something from them, but I don’t remember what. Name was Jay or something.

Now, since many people from other RP servers have gone there it’s massively populated to the point of, no thanks, too busy.

Ultimately, everyone in this thread knows that not everyone is the same on both servers, and there are good eggs and bad eggs on both servers, but whatever server you decide should be based on the type of environment you enjoy or want to foster. I really like WRA, I support WRA, and I also support some of the MG projects, but WRA just seems to me to have a healthier vibe overall. Thats to me. Ive also watched/read MG players harass like no other, and have not seen it quite as bad as ive seen from WRA players, but once more I say that is only from my personal experience. I cannot speak for others. Raton I imagine has seen it, ive seen it, and it comes back to that driving out others thought there if you arent following what a certain player wants, you dont deserve to host it/be there. Thats my personal experience, and to the players who arent like that I give you props/applause and my respect because those players did exist too. Hopefully prioritizing discords that really help people find communities that fit their interests continue to be emphasized, regardless of server, faction, etc.

I joined a Scarlet guild on MG, cause im antagonistic like that

but our GM was apparently at the whims of some bozo in the Cathedral

RP campaign? Character development? Nah son, youre an NPC ‘redshirt’ destined to die to make everyone else look good

That’s unfortunate. Not enough people take an interest in villainizing.

Are people so chronically online they would false flag for world of warcraft RP???

Please, go outside, play another game, read a book, that behavior ain’t healthy y’all.

Clearly you have not spent enough time around roleplayers, my friend.

I’m just spit-balling in between tankards of coffee here but isn’t there a discord to resolve this kind of stuff?

Cheers!

I’m very grateful for the RP/wow friends that I have. Just some silly nerds that want to play make believe with our digital action figures without any of that other baggage attached.

Some people aren’t able to…

It’s currently 112 degrees outside. Thats a little too hot to be outside for long without you burning to a crisp or your lungs collapsing or both. Even last year we had several days of 120. Heck. More like months. Some people might be wheelchair bound, some people might have certain sensory issues due to neurodivergency.

Or everyone’s feeling the heat so its better to stay inside.

It’s always going to get countered this time of year. Until like September or October. Then its prime touching grass until like May.

Besides a lot of people die in the summer. From the tourists that think they’ll be fine climbing the mountain ranges to people not understanding just how hot it gets. And thats not including the large number of people that get rescued yearly aroubd this time of year.

Go forth and touch grace ye foul Tarnished!

Nah. I’m not going to die in this heat. I know better.

Heat was brutal today I’ll give you that, though I think touch grass is more of an idiom in this case. We can’t take WoW RP too seriously, otherwise we get into these discussions about which server is better and who’s Goldshire has the best mailbox dancers.

Because it’s WrA’s and there’s no question about it. Seriously, this thread begs the question: why would you leave the NBA to go play in the bud light league? If you’re Horde, you’re here, and that’s the way it is.

Taking “touch grass” extremely literally aside…

The core sentiment shouldn’t be dismissed by taking the phrase literally. Everyone should have non-screen hobbies for the sake of their health — physical, mental, and emotional. To me, that’s touching grass, not literally going outside to pat-pat my pitiful, dry 1’ x 1’ sorry patch of lawn after a week of 104 Heat Index weather. The sentiment also was an incredulous response to a post about a roleplayer being an jerk by advertising falsely about their guild, so let’s not shoot down the idea of healthy breaks.

Also, please don’t strawman people I love (wheelchair-bound and neurodivergent folks) into an argument like a prop. They absolutely can have non-screen time, too. To imply that they’re completely beholden to screens and unable to metaphorically “touch grass” is insulting to not only them but the generations of them who grew up before the modern tech era.

You absolutely should take WoW extremely seriously. Even more seriously than you’re thinking would be excessively serious.

Every day I walk outside and gently caress my front lawn. I whisper sweet nothings to it and get down so low that the grass tickles my face. See, the worrying part is when the grass starts talking back.
