But an ability being effective to use in a rando doesn’t mean it should be changed
You should petition the Blizzard forum mods for a forum specifically dedicated to Rated BGs. That way you and the 4 or 5 other people who care about them in this forum can talk to each other without having to be bothered by the majority of people in this forum who do random BGs.
I didn’t say it should be. Monk is obviously not the best choice for holding the flag in a stalemate, but they can be effective at quick capping if the other team isn’t in position. That includes having someone else getting the flag and passing it to the monk for the cliff port.
Also, what was the contradiction? I said, “Yeah” which was agreeing with the person I was replying to. The OP hasn’t done rated BGs since 2014, so he is complaining about random BGs.
If it is no good in rated BGs and monks never hold flags in rated BGs and is only good in random BGs, which you don’t care about, then why would you even care if it gets nerfed?
BTW, I don’t want it nerfed. I enjoy my quick and easy WSG wins when on my monk.
Oi mate stop harassing me, I’m just trying to pad my meters.
Does this also work with the void elf racial?
No where near as good as the monk teleport, but same LoS requirements.
Please don’t. As you pointed out, Monks die easy, so we need all the advantages we can get!
You can’t bubble, iceblock, or turtle shell with the flag
So at graveyard?
That’s what I do, gates open I fsk out roll to the edge of the cliff drop teleport then glide off.
Pick up the flag and run back towards our graveyard, horde almost never knows what’s happening
People really do that? Funny.
This is were it helps to have a Rogue in Mid from the start who can quickly target the EFC. (Especially sneaky Monks.
) Then hit one of three macros that says EFC coming down ramp, middle, or GY and get Horde focused on the EFC.
Thing is if I make it to the alliance graveyard then I am in the clear.
Yes you are.
I have to try and give Horde some advantage. There are not that many Mal’s out there though, thankfully.
That’s what I do.
I started on doing it on my Alliance Rogue years ago after never getting help on the EFC. It does help get your team focused on the EFC.
I almost never see other monks anymore drop their transcendence like that at least not since WoD.
True! Once they eventually catch on, I’ve had all sorts of stuff waiting for me when I teleport lol…icetraps, stealthies, u name it!
I like to place it 2nd lvl, kite the other side into the tunnel and port out through to the 2nd lvl and boom I’m gone.
Yep, enemy ramp/friendly GY side hugging the wall. It’s like you are invisible to PuGs.
Well there’s optimal and sub-optimal plays so maybe if you are educated on the optimal plays then maybe you could improve?
You said “Yeah, but” then continued talking in the opposite of what he said which was “Monks don’t hold flags”. Your anecdote opposed his statement which makes it a contradiction.
