It’s all good. As someone whose sole goal was to make an Earthen Prot Pally in TWW, it’s all I see most days. Just glad they are leaving my Druid and Arc Mage alone.
gee idk maybe because its one the worst specs/classes in pve.
They don’t need to homogenize them, but when one is clearly overperforming (pal) or underperforming (BM) I don’t understand why they take forever to fix it instead of just hotfixing 5-10% buffs for 1-2 weeks at a time until it feels more balanced. With pal they went from the 2nd worst tank to the best because they did 15 changes all at once and broke the dps. Just do it more gradually but consistently.
I’m just glad they’re leaving Ret alone. It’s my favorite right now.

Almost like the point he’s making is Blizz doesn’t understand your feedback so stop giving it because it won’t have the intended effect and will usually make something worse.

Many people asked for prot to be nerfed (and/or other tanks buffed). It’s overwhelmingly dominant in higher keys because they completely busted the dps in their update and it crowds out every other tank. Prot was a much bigger problem than ret, although ret is probably slightly overtuned also.
This is where we would have to agree to disagree. If we look at Prot Pally and use just one ability as an example: Lay On Hands, and gave each Tank spec something similar:
Druid : “Nature’s Call”
Monk : “Tiger’s Vigor”
Warrior : “Odyn’s Blessing”
DH : “Fel Enrage”
DK : “Val’Kyr’s Blessing”
Now we take something like Warrior’s : Ignore Pain, and give each tank something similar:
Druid : “Hide of Hybernation”
Monk : “Dulled Senses” (cause drinking)
Paladin : “Light’s Embrace”
DH : “Prepared Power”
DK : “Unholy Ascension”
These of course are all just in the moment, but every tank could be on par, and still hold its unique flavor. We’re not going to add Avenger’s shield to a Druid, or Shield Slam to a Monk. But take what works best in each spec for each class, and then build specs based on balance using those abilities on each class.

I ran my prot pally through a tier 5 yesterday, big mistake.
Frankly , I havent tried T-6 yet out of caution.
But yah, you can probably blame the nerf on me again.

I did a T10 Bountiful on my Prot Pally 3 weeks ago just to see how he would do. Took me an hour, but I pulled it off.
Not sure why, we aren’t meta.
We both know that Ret is drastically OP in PvP. I would know. My Prot pally got DESTROYED by a horde Ret Pally that got them this achievement

I don’t PvP so I wouldn’t know. I don’t remember seeing any in the AWC though, so they must not be that OP.

Paladins are still going to be Meta. Their damage is still going to be top notch.
