Monks get Buffed and Paladins Get nerfed

Some people always complain about Ret because they’re popular, but when you look at spec distribution it paints different picture: https://mythicstats.com/meta.

Ret isn’t overrepresented (fairly middling). Prot is dominant by a wide margin. And people asked for Prot nerfs due to this.

My favorite will always be pvp balance that affects pve.

Better to find a different game than ask for this one to be homogenized even more than it already has been.

You might as well ask the classes to just be called tank, heal and DPS. The same spells with different names and visuals is boring.

Blizzard continuing to be tone deaf as hell. Why bring the other tanks up to an acceptable level when you can just nerf the only one that’s working right?

Nerfing/buffing the extreme outlier is far easier than tuning the rest to match the outlier, is likely the case. Not sure why Brewmasters were untouched though.

people dont use lightsmith because it is op, they use it because templar is garbage. yet another stupid design decision from blizzard. must be a day that ends with a y.

Well yeah they need to just gut the talent trees for paladins or nerf damage by 25% across the board for em.

The class and spec trees are so optimized and have literal capstone power talents as early ones for ret and prot, and both are literally 1 button macro specs for their base rotations. Tried out both and was absolutely disgusted by how simple they are.
Its like playing a hunter back in lich king.

i felt pretty strong playing as a paladin. but NOTHING compared to how op i felt playing my warrior. you want to gut paladin? thats ironic coming from a class that does 3x the damage, self heals as well, and has mobility options that put pally to shame to boot.

Mobility, BoP, bubble, mounts in combat that get BoF when used, BoF on both target and user. Self heal? Oh you’re joking right? Use your holy power or just lay on hands to full hp or use the 2m dmg shield that does 2m dmg back when broken. Divine toll, judgment, divine storm, empyrean hammer, hammero f justice, light, the list goes on and on. Also, ret does 3x the damage of any warrior spec and probably any dps in a 2 to 3 target situation.

Brewmaster’s been at the bottom of the tank hierarchy for years, now.

yer delusional. every tool pally has costs resources or is on a long enough cd you wont use it twice in a fight, warrior can spam their crap all day for free. warrior is the only class i’ve leveled so far that could curb stomp packs you aggro in the TWW intro scenario when you land in khaz algar. every olther class i’ve played through there had to be careful, and most died at least once. warrior just smashed everything with nary a care.

you think paladin has mobility? this statement alone tells me i can safely disregard anything you might have to say. good day.
