For Pre Patch will there be Monk gear (PVP, Tier ETC) available for us to get before Mop launches on the 21st?
If you’re talking about Monk specific gear no, Cataclysm content wasn’t made with Monks in mind, so you’ll need to use leather off pieces if you want to gear your Monk for both PvE and PvP.
but how can you do PVP gear the whole main set is all class specific?

Okay, not 100% sure but I think there’s going to be a change with Rogue/Druid gear to have it include Monks in the pre-patch and allegedly there’s an actual set that could be available too. It’d likely be through the cataclysm legacy vendor but again not 100%, I spend more time than I thought on this lol.

GMs on stress test just confirmed gear will be fixed so monks can use it during pre patch

There were Paladin sets for Horde, and Shaman sets for Alliance in TBC prepatch, and DK sets in Wrath prepatch, so…
