Moneyframe Lua errors on hover

Getting hovering errors over many items with all sharing “Moneyframe” designation. Looks like there’s a beta forum issue from November with the same issue.

I am having this same issue.

Same here!

It just randomly kicks off after some random loot/vendor/transmog/whatever interaction then pops up again and again often when just hovering over bag items .. until I do a UI Reset ..until the next time.

Messages always seem to relate to :

/Addons/Blizzard_MoneyFrame/Mainline/MoneyFrame.lua:303: attempt to perform arithmetic on a secret value

with references to functions: SetTooltipMoney and GameTooltip_OnTooltip_AddMoney

and so on ….

Very annoying !

It is super annoying for sure. It just cascades over and over if you hover over anything once it pops up. UI resets help for a bit.

Same issue for me too. resets help for a little while then errors start going off like a machine gun.

I’m also having the same error, is there a fix for this? Pretty sure this is happening with all addons disabled so it’s just a Blizzard error?
Happens like every time I mouseover a looted piece of gear I’ve just gotten, it’s super annoying

Same here. Also seems to completely break tooltips often.

Yeah been having the same issue… was trying to see if an addon was causing it, but it seems to be the Blizzard UI (not an addon) as far as I could tell…

Still going on for me too, randomly starts then plagues the heck out of you. Reset UI fixes it for a very short time

I tried the console command to just ignore LUA errors, but when I do I still get the issue of it not reporting any tooltip info at all from (for example) some of my armour pieces, but not all.

So .. very annoying!

Same , keeps getting these errors when trying to inspect someone , breaks compare items and causes too many lua errors , even tho im using 0 addons.

Well, addons can cause problems that only surface later in Blizzard scripting, but it’s been confirmed in multiple sources that this exact error occurs even if you do a full UI reset and have zero addons physically installed.

Money Frame Lua Error: This is very annoying, please fix this ASAP. I have disabled all my addons and even deleted the non compatible ones since the update, but this annoying issue is still happening. when I reload the UI is disappers for a bit then comes back as soon as I hover over something in my bag, bank, auction, ect.

Adding to the list, I have been having this same issue. I was going to try disabling addons, but that involves reloading the UI and that’s also what “fixes” the error, so I was not able to investigate. Glad to know it’s not just me.

There isn’t any reason to report anything any more. They aren’t responding or reading anything. They’ve gone super silent mode during this massive period of failure.

Definitely see the open, honest transparency on full display.

This is happening to me as well, tried with all addons off, still happens.
