I feel I am being treated very poorly. I did not get my loot from a 16 I ran Monday at 6-7pm. This is the dismissive reply I received. Did no one that ran a key after 7 Monday evening get their loot on Tuesday? If not, this is very unfair to me. Reset is Tuesday morning, not Monday evening
"I ran several searches on your Rogue’s activity for last week, and I found that she completed only 3 Mythic+ runs. She completed the following dungeons last week:
Halls of Atonement +3
Plaguefall +11
Theater of Pain +16
The Theater of Pain run was completed very close to resets though, so it likely was not done in time to count. This means that the Great Vault based the rewards off of the +11 instead. The reward can not be exchanged for something else either, so this is the one that the Rogue should have received. She’ll need to do her Mythic+ runs sooner in the week to avoid issues going forward.
I am sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause, and I thank you for waiting while we looked into this. Please let us know if something else comes up later."
This reply was from Vannthur.
I’m just going to ask the obvious and get it out of the way, since the GM also mentions a 16 in their reply-- did you collect the reward from the previous week’s vault to populate last week’s offerings?
It could have been the server issues that occurred 2 days ago also, that messed up the logs. Your armory does not even show a Theatre of pain this season yet.
I understand, and I informed the gentleman of that. He saw the loot from the dungeon in my bag and did a search and said that he saw I had done one. The server lag isnt something I can control (i wish!) so couldnt something be done about it? I did they key, it could at least be in THIS weeks vault, but its not. Im not trying to be argumentative, I just feel as if Im not being treated fairly over something I cant control, when I did everything right. Oh, it is also on my Raiderio. Not blizzards io, but it did show up on the raiderio site and on my discords raiderio channel right after I did it. I can provide screen shots of this.
It sounds like the reason the GM gave was not correct. You should be able to fill out a survey about your ticket and say that.
However, if the game didn’t register that you completed it due to a server crash, then that’s really it. For a variety of reasons, they don’t restore things that the server didn’t see as completed. So you’ll just have to try it again next week.
Blizzard only uses its’ own logs. Third-party things are not taken into consideration if their own logs cannot verify it.
Also, I do not know what sort of resolution you’re seeking here on this particular forum. This one is for players to assist other players. It does not serve as a contact point for GMs, Devs or anyone else of the sort.
If you feel like you’re being treated unfairly, the only way to send that feedback is through the survey you get when a ticket is closed out. But what you’re seeing as unfair is fair in it’s own fashion. Blizzard only goes by their logs. What blips that happened, they happened but they will not issue credit or loot for something their logs cannot verify. So while you’re not getting credit or loot, no one else is either who is in the same boat. Perhaps not the most ideal situation, but it is the same for everyone rather than ‘special circumstances’.
Oh so the customer support section is for conversation with other players? I didn’t realize that.
The guy said he saw I did the 16, I merely wanted the correct loot, that was the sort of resolution I wanted. So it is on their logs somewhere. The message even says he saw that I did it. The reason stated
is that I had done the key too close to reset. Monday night. 18 hours before reset
I will try again this week of course I guess I won’t do anything on Monday because the guy said that’s too close to reset. The message didn’t state anything about lag or server issues. That’s an assumption we made.
The GM’s dont have the ability to generate vault loot as far as I know. If you finish a key super close to the rest the server wont recognise you as having completed it for that prior week. Likely something in the backend making a buffer zone.
We had a very unusual issue this week. Realm issues which actually had a small roll-back. That is extremely rare in WoW, thankfully - but may be tying into this. I’m afraid if that is the case, really nothing a GM can do to assist as the logs wouldn’t be accurate. I have no reason to doubt you - nor would they - but that doesn’t allow them to just make presumptions either, they still have to go by our logs. In the rare case of something like that - those wouldn’t be accurate.
Thank you so much for the reply. The reason I felt it was unfair is that They can see that I did it, and the reason given was that it was done too close to reset (Monday night!!) but I suppose it’s just bad luck that I did it that particular time Monday night. Oh well. I’ll just do another one and forget about it
I, too, did not get the correct vault this week. And I too waited 48 hours for a ticket only to be told by a gm, paraphrasing, ‘Tough luck’. At least my gm acknowledged that my problem was real though and that they believed that I did that dungeon. My dungeon was done on Monday as well.
I don’t know why they can’t help us. Raiderio shows that I did my dungeon on time, and raiderio gets their data by pulling info from the blizzard servers. So obviously blizzard knows about my dungeon. I guess the GMs just don’t have tools in place to manipulate vault rewards? Very disappointing.
