MOCKERY: so grateful that Riot MMO will have race/class restrictions

HUMOR: The every race every class philosophy followed by those inferior mmos (FFXIV and ESO) . I’m so grateful the riot team sees how terrible this is for world building and has zero plan to do this.

Hopefully wow never adopts this terrible world shattering philosophy. Like giving demon hunters to lightforged or Paladins to void elves. Giving any elves shamans

Maiden boss in tomb of sargeras justifies LFD DH.

Disc priests justify velf paladins

There’s nothing stopping an elf from learning shamanism.

The only combos I can’t find a justification for are maghar locks and DH

Why do mechagnomes all think they’re even half as cool as HK-47?

REBUTTAL: no it doesn’t.

Do disc priests not combine holy and shadow magic?

Yes, which means that velf paladins can theoretically exist, though prob rare in numbers lore wise.

I agree that is what this thread is.

INFANT EXPLANATION: priest use holy and shadow magic, Paladins are direct conduits of holy magic, they are not calling it but summoning it from their very selves.

Example. Difference between a warlock and demon hunter or a death knight and necromancer

Yes Im aware.

But the fact that disc uses both holy and shadow means that blizzard can come up with some lore that would justify velf paladins somehow.

Now a justification for maghar locks and DH is beyond me

Mechagnomes players really do only have 1 gimmick

It’s super cringe honestly, especially outside of an RP server. Not funny, not cute, just pure cringe.

Even mechagnome npcs don’t talk like that

Yeah, I’ll see ya on that game in about 8 years. Right there with pvp game ashes of creation

Um you do know the light was turning illidan to lightforged? They have the capability…

I also find the way some people do their shtick to just be a way to throw thinly veiled poor manners. As in, I find it rude.

I’m confused is this thread in response to something?

Idk what you’re talking about. Ashes is totally releasing soon with 100% of the content it claims because it’s gonna be perfect. Everyone LOVES always on pvp games and no one will complain at all. It’ll totally be worth the wait.

When you get right down to the nitty gritty, the vast majority of classes are something that can be either taught, or granted through some kind of empowerment or faith. For example: Demon Hunter. They are empowered by a demon soul / fel, and are trained how to use said empowerment. No racial restrictions are justified, any race can be fel empowered.

Example 2: Druids. Druids get their power through their connection with nature, and their worship of a relevant deity. Last I checked, you don’t need to be a species in order to be in tune with nature and worship a deity. No racial restrictions apply.

Shaman? Their power comes from being in service of the elements. Goblins already prove any race can do that with the right motivation.

Monks? Only Worgen have a valid reason to be unable to be monks, and that’s only because the worgen curse makes it difficult to find inner peace and tranquility. Not a stretch to assume some few worgen manage, though.

Warlocks? Literally anyone can bargain with a demon.

Ah but here’s the tricky one! Paladin! Any race perfectly fine… except for undead, and purely only because of the fact that being a conduit of the light burns undead. With the rise of lightforged undead, though… there’s an opening.

Evoker is the only one I can’t think of a way to put onto other races beyond something like “you drank a potion that gave you draconic traits and power”
