MMR Hell needs fixed & here's how

MMR Hell is real and it’s all inclusive. Sure, playing well can* help you win matches, but a single player cannot win a team match on their own. I am growing sick of Blitz matchmaking and the methodology that once you’ve had enough consecutive losing matches that you’re placed in purgatory. There is no fun or fairness in the current system design, it is incredibly flawed and here’s why.

I earn Grand Marshal every season and push all my alts for elite and often times I can clear 1800 in just two casual sessions, but there’s also time when I fall victim to this ridiculous system that condemns anyone who doesn’t push early in the season and ride up the ranks with skilled players or.. chooses to play a non-meta class that doesn’t have high impact in group pvp.

Now I’m sure some arrogant fellows will say well you just ride on the coat tails of good players, not even close. Being in battlegrounds with skilled players with proper knowledge of strategy that can perform their duties well makes for more competitive matches.

What we have in low mmr matches is not accurate pairing and that is why you will often win 3/0 or 1500 - 500 quite frequently. That type of thing does not happen in higher rated matches and the prevalence of it in lower mmr proves that pairing is horrendous and not designed in a way that is fair to players who spend their valuable time trying to earn that achievement.

My suggestion, give players the option to reset from 0 and start over so they can push again without being stuck perpetually or re-rolling to another spec just to have that same chance.

with the way the rating for new players is inflated as all hell I don’t think this will impact queue times much at all.

I got up to 1450 last week. Fell to 1100, sitting between 1100-1200 total. Just trying to hit 1800 to get grand marshal transmog. Just started into PVP at the end of last season so I am brand new to all of this.
