"MMO" gaming mouses for WoW don't seem to last? (hardware-nerds get in here)

Shoot, mine only ever lasted until just after the warranty expired, then the laser and right-click would stop functioning. Went through three Naga before I swapped to a Scimitar. Had to replace my first one of those because the right-click stopped working shortly after the warranty ran out (fun theme there). Second one is still going, but the coating on them wears down fast and starts to get sticky. I had to poly over whatever they used initially and now just plug it into my work PC.

buy a mmo mouse from a verified brand that has a good reputation.

corsair scimitar is a good option.

Lol, I remember some Razer horror stories, but mostly with the Naga. Their 6-button mouse was pretty good iirc. The price point was really competitive. AFAIK, they’ve improved a lot sense those days. Corsair Scimitar is a solid replacement.

I just wish those companies that make gaming mouse would think of women sometimes…many of us have small hands and these gaming mouse’s are not small at all…personally my hands are the size of a 6 yr old kid…very dang small…matter fact when I use to ride motorcycles I had to get my gloves custom made yrs ago cause they was no child size gloves out at the time…make some smaller mice …

Consider the following: Children these days don’t know what a mouse and keyboard are. Aside from the TV (for now), if it’s a screen, it’s a touchscreen.

And apparently, “Like and Subscribe” instead of “Goodbye/Goodnight” is apparently a real thing.

Yeah don’t think there’s any good quality mice that have a bunch of side buttons. Razer naga always had double click issues a year or so in, same with the Logitech g600 (Which is also experiencing the issue you describe)

Yeah, I didn’t mind the Scimitar, it felt better than the Naga. My only real complaint with it is that it’s way too easy to activate those thumb buttons. My fingers twitch a lot, which would sometimes cause me to activate things like Charge and pull a boss before we were ready lol. It’s also still a touch small for my hand though. That’s why I ended up really liking the Redragon M908. It’s larger and fits my hand comfortably, and there’s a good amount of resistance to activating the thumb buttons so I don’t accidentally trigger anything before I want to.

I’ll do ya one better, troll. I’ll repeat what I already told you in this very thread which made you flip your mental switch to insufferable after you realized you’re bad advice:

How’s the weight on it? I can’t live on the G600 forever, and the M908 seems the most familiar. I like heavy mouse so I don’t nudge it off my raid frames in WoW, but also because it’s easier for me to do big movements with FPS games.

Noted, you’re younger than my last G600. :+1:

Not sure how you think me calling you out for your immature behaviour and misinformation is analogous to me being the youngen. But if you’re trying to play the edgy persona of being old and insufferable, you’re doing a fine job right down to the inability to comprehend new ideas, and falling behind on tech that’s easily googleable. :+1:t5:

People don’t use the Scimitar Elite anymore?

You’re typing stuff out like you’re a reddit mod. It’s a thread about gaming mice. Add to the discussion, or don’t. But you’re acting weird.

Just get something simultaneously cheaper and more durable? Got a wireless equivalent of the M908, with slightly sturdier construction to boot, for ~$35, the UtechSmart Venus. Only replacements it’s ever needed over my near-decade since buying it were to the glides, which I could just do with a $4 sheet of glide teflon, cut to shape.

Second (top-left) LMB, sturdy wheel, good click response, 12 side buttons. Great ergonomics for medium-sized to larger hands. Best-feeling mouse for me even when playing shooters. Only downside is that the DPI switches aren’t customizable on the wireless version.

I’ve been using my Razer Naga since 2014 when I bought it new. No issues yet

It weighs in at 177g, but also comes with a weight tuning cartridge so it can be lighter. I ended up leaving all eight of the 2.4g cylinders in it and I am a fan. By comparison, the Scimitar is noticeably lighter and easier to bump around on accident.

Converting this to freedom units… that’s a heavy mouse. I like that a lot. Much appreciated!

I love my G600 for WoW and my G502 for other games where I feel my MMO mouse is too chonky. I didn’t know liking Logitech was so controversial

Bro I’m on the same 2-button wired logitech mouse I’ve been using for the past 8 years. I spent 9.95 on it.

I have a Razer Naga. I’ve had it for so long that I can’t even remember when I bought it lol.
