MM Hunter damage

They already used all their cooldowns for just bop though.

It doesn’t matter if you get cc’d in bop as long as they used everything and got nothing for it.

Then you can easily handle the rest with shield and divine protection.

Also the chances of them purging bop with tranq shot is incredibly slim with how many buffs people have.

You will have SOV but not divine shield since it will be on forbearance. Also, MM hunters have two main ways to kill you. Explosive, chakrams, rapid fire or trueshot aimed shots. Either one can pretty much remove somebody.

Personally, I don’t throw full burst into a paladin unless they are on forbearance or don’t have the cooldowns. Nameplate cooldowns FTW.

Divine shield and divine protection are 2 seperate abilities.

Divine protection is a 20% wall.

Will all likely be on cd after they try and burst you in the opener.

Okay, I read shield. Problem with most mitigation is that it is just too weak to deal with current game damage. Barkskin and such you just kill right through it. It’s only really helpful if there is also a healer around to help.

I mean, this is what average players do I guess. More experienced players throw their burst into people who don’t have the cooldowns to deal with it.

That is a bit of a mistake to try to front load both of these. Use one to force defensives, then the other after defensives are down. Or just roll into a fight and pick the people that don’t have defensives available at all.

if all the fotm hunters and those who(lol) main them got together and created their own hunter only epic bg community i feel both problems would get more attention from blizzard.
let’s think of some ironic/funny names for the com. ill go first:

skill capped at hunter
who needs friends when you have pets(on auto attack)
pew pew

Now this right here tells me you just aren’t playing against good players.

Barkskin alone isn’t going to save a druid. Bear form is what saves them. But we were talking about mitigation abilities (paladins don’t have bear form) and 20% mitigation won’t keep a hunter from killing you with no healers around.

Barkskin has been kind of a joke for awhile now.

Rogue:” lawl @ barkskin”….smokebomb kill
Hunter:l “lawl @ Druids in general…one button kill”
Rogues have a legit claim to it but hunters…fail

Bark is incredibly powerful when used like it supposed to be which is in conjunction with one or more of a druids many survivability tools. Just like wall used with shield on a ret is essentially another bubble in a 1v1 situation. All things equal MM loses to Ret unless the Hunter is running the full arena build which in BGs is a fairly substantial hit to damage and losing the ability to knock.

Sure. I was just talking about it as a stand alone. The mitigation defensives by themselves don’t really matter to me, it is SOV that matters and bear stuff that matters.

Ret is hard if they are starting the fight close to you, like they jump on you from behind in a BG. But, they aren’t an issue if starting at full range, that is the case for several fights for MM.

The arena build I modified for BGs ran explosive trap still but not shotgun, I figure you can’t cheese every kill.

Not to sound rude, but if this is honestly your experience then you are not facing good players.

Wow this thread is still going. Btw this thread was not about how ‘OP’ MM is, it was about how low the skill floor for MM is to be able to basically 1 tap players from a mile away. Just unfun gameplay.

Yeah I mean it can also be construed as being as OP though.

But yeah…it’s such cheap game play.

Maybe you aren’t facing good MM hunters?

You seriously think that 20% damage mitigation stands up well to what burst damage is in the game right now or SL or even before that?

People die through 20% mitigation all the time and have for several expansions. Hop on a shaman and tell me how much even astral shift helps you out when being focused with offensive cooldowns.

spoiler: it doesn’t keep you from dying and that is 40% mitigation.

I know this post is 11 days old but Blizz will give them a pop up hunters stand, that protects them from damage while making them stationary and gives them a field of view to still send sniper/aimed/rapid fire shots from along with increased range.
