MM damage is overtuned, and thats unhealthy for casters

And mage/lock/moonkin/sp damage is overtuned and unfair for melee but here we are.

Have you seen team compositions in BGs at all this expansion?

I think you’re missing some context. Have you seen the rest of this thread? Or did you just find one thing you didn’t like and decide to go all “white knight”?

I saw you, who has no meaningful experience to speak of, crying about how someone else’s opinion is not worth taking in to account because you feel they don’t have the experience necessary to have worthwhile input.

I see you coming in here with insane takes like “Marks has to remain massively overtuned in order to keep casters in check”

Or that hunter casts shouldn’t be susceptible to kick because bad players don’t use kick, and claiming it’s fine because because people can stun your casts while in the same breath admitting people can’t even get close enough to stun you.

Anyway, my point boils down to this.
It’s silly to go around just trying to discredit people based on their rating when the sewage spilling out of your own mouth isn’t backed up by any meaningful experience.

Doesnt fix the problem people have with them. Only makes them worse in content theyre already not shining in.

Gotta hit the damage, or give them CDs to play around like almost every other spec.

Someone who has barely touched PvP, shouldn’t speak on broad sweeps of class changes. You say I don’t have any notable experience. That’s fine, but I do have experience in 2v2, 3v3, RBG, and SS. Lawlbowz has not stepped foot in any of them. I don’t mean on their hunter. I mean on any of their toons.

If you cared enough to find out, I’ve weighed in dozens of times on what can be done about hunters to fix them in random BGs. Like gimping how mastery scales with range, and changing sniper shot to no longer add more range.

I wasn’t defending the idea that hunters should be susceptible to kick. I was highlighting why his defense of it was stupid.

So you’re defending a troll, spouting a solution that you don’t even believe in, in a thread that was written by chat gpt. This is peak BG forums shenanigans.

Its not casters vs mele. that creates confusion. It has always been ranged vs mele.

“The game is balanced around 3s” is lazy and should not be accepted by the player base.

I agree with the original post. Marks isn’t as broken in arenas because you can line, don’t have to place yourself on a node for points, etc… But when players have to play on a node to score points, BGs for example, there is no good reason for MM hunters to be able to hit harder from farther away than every other class. It should be one or the other. If MM hunters are to have the longest range, they should not hit hard. “Hitting hard” is pretty broad, but you know what I’m getting at.

A flat 20% to damage across the board isn’t balance, it’s retribution. I never said hunters didn’t need nerfs. They need nerfs that make sense. Kicking aimed shot and rapid fire isn’t it. A 20% damage nerf isn’t it.

I’ve said it before in nearly every mm hunter qq thread. Mastery scaling needs to change. Sniper shot needs to be reworked. And a small damage nerf is necessary to bring them in line.
