MM buffs (Dec 19th tuning)

Yeehaw. Giddy-up

The problem blizzard has at hand,
3v3, 2v2, RSS, BG Blitz, and even other BG modes
are all have different balance.

MM struggles in arenas, but excels in BGs, for example.
Boomies too.

unless blizzard balances for all modes, its gonna be a mess like this.

Yeah, they really should balance each bracket separately (i.e. arenas and bgs).

Under the current system, epic bgs are terrorized by premades stacking boomkins.

oh fun, so now i’ll see 5000 hunters with infinite range in random bgs! just let them shoot me in the head through my monitor and put me out of my misery.

No they dont, they have been outclassed in rated bgs since the dawn of time.

Throw a team full of hunters into an rbg watch how quickly they get demolished.

Why do you think they are getting trained?

I don’t do rated content, but if I did, Hunters are the first ones I’m going after because of how lethal they are FROM 40 YARDS.

sorry I meant normal random bgs.

and again, balance is diff from non-rated bgs and rated bgs.

my point was more, its impossible to balance pvp for all modes

Their DPS drops off the side of a cliff when they’re getting trained, stunned/CCed, disarmed, etc. They’re not tanky, so it’s a lot of pressure on the other healer.

The round basically turns into a 3v2.

That is true for any spec/class, not just hunters.

It’s a bigger cliff for MM hunters.

Other specs/classes can AOE stun and cleave down everyone if two melee try to train them. They’re also more tanky so it’s easier to counter pressure.

You can rationalize all you want. Hunters have incredible burst damage, cc, mobility and range.

We’re talking about MM hunters and why they got buffed.

It’s because they do subpar damage in arenas, especially against plate classes and when they’re getting trained.

I’m just explaining the situation to people who don’t do arenas.

:dracthyr_shrug:

And I asked, rhetorically, “Why do you think they get trained?”
Because they have incredible burst damage, cc, mobility and range. They are one of the most threatening specs in the game. That’s why you try to eliminate them first.

The same argument can me made about rogues. Expect we don’t have a 40 yard range.

Anyway, it’s a strange move for Blizzard to buff those two specific spells.

You don’t seem to know how hunter work.

Not really, no.

Because those 2 spells and kill shots are the only ones that matter. Expect them to score kills with a buffed steady shot?

The most obvious fix for marks hunters is to give them a talent that reduces aimed shot/rapid fire damage, but makes it bypass armor. This should have been done in like BFA, instead of Blizz having to make the same buffs to aimed/rapid fire every single patch.

This way, they won’t keep getting more dangerous for cloth/leather every patch, while still being dogwater against plate.

Such a simple solution… you’ve really gotta wonder why they’ve seemingly never thought of it themselves.

I’d rather fight an MM hunter than a sub rogue, heh.

I’d love to have a haste focused build and be machine gun. Lower damage but more frequent shooting.

not sure if i just haven’t played that much but the highest crits i’m getting in a mix of haste/vers gear and 4set is 250k with careful aim, badge, and chakrams on cloth/leather

last season i was critting like 220k on cloth with my mastery set, how is the same damage on a double hp pool complaint worthy lol forums are hilarious
