Why does mithril go for so much on the AH? Just sold 8 stacks for 30G each. Is it used in max lvl jewel crafting/blacksmithing recipes?
You’ll need just over 140 bars while leveling the craft.
it’s a pain to find. Also no flying in Azeroth.
Edit: while I was leveling mining last week I sold a few stacks of Thorium bars for 50g/stack. Simply supply & demand.
Yeah Mithril is a roadblock for a fair few professions, JCing needs like 60 filigree for leveling, and engineering can make a lot of mithril casing to push through levels. Blacksmith for spurs, so it makes up a fair bit of the skilling up process.
Mainly that most places to farm Mithril are very large, sparse circles, where it can be anything from Gold, to Iron, to Truesilver, to Small Thorium. Not many good caves like you can go to for most ores. And then the ore based professions typically take a lot of it.
