Mission table gone

I for one am glad the mission table will be gone next expansion. In my eyes it was completely pointless and took away development time from making something good for the game, even if it was just a small amount.

You could argue that it was optional but still doesn’t change the fact all you do is just move a character from one slot over to the next then wait a few hours. How can anyone see that being fun and interesting? Also the table doesn’t really reward anything good these days.

What do you guys think? Are you glad it’s gone or would you still like to see them add one for dragonflight?

Blizzard removing an inoffensive feature that some people liked is proof Blizzard isn’t in touch with players.

The only way it’s removal makes sense to me is if Blizzard didn’t want it competing with their Mobile titles.

If the Mission Table actually did the Dailies, instead of pointless side quests then it would be much more useful. If I can send a follower to go fish X random fish or go off and kill x things from some random zone I have no desire to enter for 10g. I would absolutely love that.

The only Mission Table format done perfectly was the Legion version. WOD was too much, BFA was too little and Shadowlands was too complicated. Legion mission tables are welcome back any time, the rest I can easily live without.

Good riddance enhanced cell phone game.

TBH I forgot the damn thing exists. I got the pets and mounts in 9.0 and then promptly stopped using it.

I am glad I won’t have to deal with it. I honestly hated the stupid thing.

That said though, they had reached a point in Shadowlands where it was completely optional, and just there for those that wanted to interact with it. While I won’t miss it, I do feel a little bad for those that DID enjoy it. It’s never a good feeling when a game takes away something you actually enjoyed doing. :frowning:

Or they thought most people didn’t use it or don’t like it so why waste any effort putting it into DF.

Either way it’s gone and it doesn’t seem like that big of a deal.

This is what I always thought too. Now that they have mobile game coming out we can get rid of this semi-mobile game they have in WoW. Lol

It’s not a big deal but it reflects Blizzard doesn’t know what they’re doing and will bungle something that does matter.

Does it though? Removing it just feels like they’re trimming the fat from last xpacs.

I feel bad for people that loved it but I don’t think I used it once since Legion

“Fat” that was low effort from a development perspective and inoffensive while a number of folks enjoyed it. So kind of the opposite of fat… more like lean meat. Tasty without too many calories.

I like it as a passive way to earn some extra gold without spending time running around. However, I will not miss it.

I actually didn’t know that, won’t the WoW companion basically be useless now without the mission table? I actually liked i had a reason to use it sometimes when I was away from the game. I never actually used the tables in-game tho.

Good. The mission table was garbage.

Yeah I get that. I just feel like if it was largely unused then it makes sense to remove it.

Even if it’s low effort to keep in if barely anyone is using it then what’s the point?

Obviously I don’t know how many players use it or not but I can’t imagine it’s a very popular system if they’re tossing it out the door.

good riddance.

I can. Brawlers Guildwas popular and they tossed that. Legion World Quests were popular and they tossed those in favor of these multi step monstrosities.

Blizzard is infamous for getting rid of stuff people like. Heck, the core issue with borrowed power is Blizzard completely removing fun stuff people liked.

Glad it’s gone, never liked it and just wish they removed it after they implemented it in WoD.
