Mission table are gone foreseeable future

Dragonflight onwards seems to be abandoning all the past philosophies and creating new ones that is more accessible and casual friendly and also less hectic for the game developers.

i miss making gold from WoD and Legions missions.

I hated mission tables.

I liked mission tables but they really just kept going down in term of features and care over time that it was easier for them to remove them. Shadowlands mission table was a mess as you couldn’t even know if you could succeed in a mission without an addon.

I think making gold with mission tables is way better than having to do wqs and I like being able to min/max them over time.

It’s also one of the content once min/max that could let me make enough gold that I didn’t need to sell boosts to be able to sustain the cost of mythic raiding.

thank god, the only one I ever really liked was the WoD one where you could collect like 20 different people, but it was still annoying that you were sending out other people to do adventures FOR you, instead of, say, choosing which NPCs to take with you on MoP-style scenarios.

Should we also remove everything I hate?

When did I say that? I just meant me personally.

The devs listened to someone. Don’t underestimate your influence

I never openly complained about mission tables, lol. Have you ever figured they maybe didn’t want them in the game anymore? Chill out, lol. Don’t blame one person; if it was all me, then I must’ve caused a big uproar about it to the point where they listened.

How were mission tables not accessible or casual friendly?

I, for one, don’t miss feeling like I wasn’t being “optimal” if I didn’t log on to 12 different characters to check tables whenever I booted up the game.

Mission tables were replaced by by the treasures all over the place, is my working theory. Instead of heading back to to a base to maintain missions, you just open treasures while out doing world quests.

I do miss mission tables for the pet token quests.

Good. /thread

Mission tables, to me, are rewards for not playing the game.
I did it a bit in Legion, but after that just lost all interest

They were great once the addons came out for them. But in SL something weird happened with the main addon. I think Blizz issued a CND for it or something and we had to manually maintain it afterwards. Even when it was attempted to fork it, it got pulled.

MUCH better if thats the case.
Reward me for playing the game…not sending fake people out to do the work for me

and put in MoRE daily quests too, while theyre at it.

Agreed, it feels so much better to be out in the world doing stuff in Dragonflight. More daily quests please!

WoD’s was fun, though I didnt get to play with it until the drought between legion and BFA.
Legion was pretty good.
BFA was meh.
SL was just… what the actual -censored-. You needed an addon to be able to win the missions.

I like the principle. I like that you can do them from your phone. But I don’t know, bring it back down to WoD/Legion ‘difficulty’ and of course, optional?

At first, then you just needed to go to Wowhead and read the suggested teams for each mission. Kind of like pet battles. Eventually you just remembered which teams went for which mission. I kept a folder of screenshots to refer to after the addons broke.

I did a lot with mission tables, but I don’t think we particularly need them.

I do think they should add augment runes to the Paragon reputation bags. And in large quantities (like, 300 augment runes in a rep bag).
