Its gone because the meta slaves thought it was mandatory and it became a very unhealthy practice for them hopping on 50 alts to maximize output .Blizzard obviously doesn’t want bad publicity and nerf them thoroughly and decided not to move ahead.
Even now you would see some of these players go a far as warlords of Draenor to do them every now then based on some metric . We have a lot of special ppl in this game, do not be that optimistic of the wow community
Well, here’s an easy solution: One mission table per account. Or one set of daily mission quests per account. You do a mission on one toon and that mission disappears on all other toons. You have 10 missions per day you can do across all of your toons.
No world content can make even close to how much you could do with mission tables once min/maxed. The world content doesn’t scale up the more you do it over time. And you have to spend way more time travelling and etc.
It doesn’t even come close, how much do you think people were doing with mission tables a day once optimized? I could get 12 augment runes+ gold missions + profession mats and that’s on one character a day.
It doesn’t scale, wqs give the same gold from the start to end. And getting decent gear is rather easy so after 2-3 weeks your “gear scaling” doesn’t affect it much and travelling becomes the worse problem.
Saving a couple seconds on wqs when it takes way more time than any mission table could take is just not comparable.
BFA’s mission table was CURSED.
Randomly generated minions who may or may not have the traits you need? Missions with BOTH ‘-100 to success chance if you use minions’, AND ‘-50 to success chances if you DON’T use Bomb minions’!?
BFA mission tables were really bad but at least the emissaries were giving a lot of gold and some world quests were doable literally by killing 1 mob in less than 10 sec.
So, like I said to the other commenter, simple fix is to limit the total number of missions by account. You get 10-15 missions per day that you can do across all your toons, divided any way you want but no duplication.
Why would mission tables be limited if everything else like wqs isn’t?
Sure there’s a “scaling” issue, but that’s what make them good for me.
Some people like being able to use their multiple alts.
They removed them because people memed about them too much and that they actually took time to design. In Shadowlands they threw way too much dev time for the result, it was supposed to be an auto-battler of sort and it was just this horrible unfinished thing.
Same here. I know some people hated mission tables, but it was another aspect of the game you could do super casually. Anyone who doesn’t like tables could just skip them.
